Altinkum area

Altinkum means 'Golden Sands' and it is for its 3 beautiful, sandy beaches that the resort is best known. The sea shelves gently and is perfect for non-swimmers and small children. Popular for years with British holiday makers who return to the resort year after year, the pace is very laid back; the style relaxed and very friendly. Bars and restaurants line the beach front where in the evening the tempo is more upbeat and holiday makers are entertained by belly-dancers and waiters performing rap dances - some of them extremely well!. The large, open-air 'Medusa' Club is a particular favourite with disco lovers and is within walking distance of the apartment.

For those wanting more than just a beach holiday, a large selection of excursions and boat trips can be booked locally. Particularly fascinating is the trip to Ephesus - one of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World. The Five Islands Boat Trip is another firm favourite. There is also a brand new Aqua Park just a dolmus (local bus) ride away.

How to get there

Easiest is to fly to Bodrum (Milas) Airport. Transfer Bodrum - Altinkum (approx 1hour 15 mins) can be arranged. Cost of transfer approx £10 per person each way (min 4 people), payable locally. Alternatively car rental is available.

No pets allowed. Families/couples preferred. Not suitable for infirm or wheelchair users. Strictly no smoking except on balcony/roof terrace. Non refundable deposit of £50 per week required to secure booking. Breakages deposit of £50 payable on arrival, refundable on departure (or within 21 days max of departure, subject to satisfactory inspection and return of keys).
