About the home

PLEASE NOTE This is a purpose built apartment and not a converted bedsit like most of the accommodation on the complex.

Privately owned, fabulous duplex apartment in a prestigious development with 2 pools, on site restaurant / bar, outside bar / bistro, night club and convenience store. The apartment is fully air conditioned with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, open plan kitchen/diner and a spacious living area. All rooms have balconies and the unique 'Seahorse' design has been developed to ensure maximum sunlight across the two interlinked swimming pools all day.

This prominent complex was completed in 2007/2008 and is situated in a quiet area of Didim known as Yesilkent with local beaches and amenities just a short stroll away. The new 5* Venosa Hotel is also on the Peninuslar and a quick hop on the regular local bus (1.65 TL / Approx 65p) will see you in the lively cosmopolitan resort of Altinkum (about 3k away) which is popular with British and Turkish holiday makers.

The complex can provide (at extra charge) many services you would expect from apart hotels such as satellite TV, Wi-Fi, (40 TL / approx £17 a week), cleaning and laundry.

The Aegean Coast region

Beautiful warm clear blue sea with many interesting and secluded bays make up the Aegean coast.

The temperature is mainly warm and sunny throughout the Spring and Autumn and very hot in the Summer months especially in July and August.

There are two local golf courses planned for the future and the nearest one at present can be found in Bodrum.

The Altinkum / Yesilkent area

Yesilkent is a quiet peninsular outside of the main town with small local beaches, a few local restaurants and shops to choose from.

Altinkum (10 minutes away) means 'Golden Sands' in Turkish and refers to the large sweeping bay in Altinkum. There are many bars and restaurants to be found along the promenade (pedestrianised during the summer months) and a huge open air nightclub. Most restaurants provide a free pick up and drop off service to Yesilkent and surrounding areas and there is also a dolmus / local bus every 10 or 15 mins for 1.75 TL (around 65p).

There are plenty of places to visit and explore including the famous Ephesus, Miletus, Priene, Pamukkale (cotton candy castle) Bafa lake national park, Apollo temple, Roman ruins, boat/gullet trips around the bays or even a trip to Greece as Kos is nearby. The largest water park in Turkey is 1 hour away and a smaller local one in Kusadasi is about 10 / 15 minutes drive or served by a local bus.

The nearby marina was completed in 2009, there is a regular Saturday market where you're have to have your best negotiation skills tuned into the max! Large supermarkets and a fairground all accessible by bus and water sports can be found in many of the local bays. In fact we have a friend locally that has a small boat and is happy to take take people out.

Fly to Bodrum airport which is approximately 1:15 hour transfer to the apartment (may be a little longer at the moment due to road works) or fly to Izmir airport which is approximately 1:45 hour transfer to the apartment.

NB: If you're flying back via Bodrum airport, everything apart from duty free is VERY expensive and we generally take food with us.

A 20% deposit (minimum £150) is required when you book with the remaining balance required to secure the apartment but no later than 6 weeks before please. If you need to cancel, money will be refundable (less an admin costs of £100) if the apartment is rebooked for the period you reserved or booked. Please only book if you are certain of your dates.

A refundable security deposit of £250 is also required before you travel. At the end of the stay, the property and its contents must be in the state they were handed over. After checking, if it is found that anything has been misused, is missing or damaged the cost will be deducted from the deposit. If the deposit is insufficient, the guests agree to pay the difference. If there is no misuse, damage or breakage to the content of the accommodation, the guests will be refunded the whole deposit that they have been charged.

Lost keys are charged at £20.

Payments by PayPal, Bank Transfer or Cheque please.

A charge is made by the management company for any extra cleaning required by yourselves during your stay.

Unlike similar complexes we include Aircon/heating in the rental price but we ask you not to run it if you are not in the apartment, it is very efficient and will cool/heat the apartment very quickly.

There are up to 8 free TV channels - upgrades are available through the management office as is a Wi-Fi conecction, both at extra cost.
