The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

The Costa Blanca extends along that section of the Mediterranean coast which corresponds to the province of Alicante. To the North, a curtain of mountains runs parallel to the sea, descending at times to form cliffs; to the South, a vast plain of sand patches, palm trees and salt deposits make up the backdrop for the beaches.

The temperatures are usually warm with the annual average a little higher than 18ºC. However this can vary between seasons from a very warm 30º-35ºC during July and August to a milder 15º-20ºC in those so called winter months. Rain is of course very scarce.

The Altea / Punta de Mascarat area

Altea is a little fishing village located in the Spanish region of Alicante on the famous “Costa Blanca”. With its medieval streets and the palm-fringed seafront, the town is one of the most charming to be found in this region.
The area of Altea and Punta de Mascarat offers beautiful beaches with boulders, clean and blue waters and a good depth for diving.
The best places to visit in the province of Alicante are the ancient Castillo de Santa Barbara, the Moorish castle of Guadalest, the Terra Mitica theme park at Benidorm, the Safari Parks at Aitana and Vergel, the Waterfalls at Bolulla and the Caves at Benidoleig.
