About the home

A well furnished, comfortable and large property set over 3 floors. There is plenty of terrace and balcony space for outdoor dining and relaxing with fantastic views of the sea, the communal pool and the town of Altea. An ideal resort for a family holiday, romantic break for couples and a great spot for a week or weekend away with friends. Set within just a few minutes walk of the old town of Altea which has a wonderful church square, you will find lots of restaurants, boutiques and craft shops. The beach is just a 10 minute walk and the nearby towns of Alfaz, Calpe, Albir and the lively resort of Benidorm can all be reached easily by bus, train or car. This property is ideal for summer holidays and winter sun breaks.

The front door leads from a large terrace area which has table and chairs which benefits from the afternoon and evening sun and is therefore ideal for Al fresco dining. The hallway gives access to the large and well fitted kitchen which has dining table and chairs. There is also a utility area housing the washing machine. The large lounge has dining table seating 6, comfortable furnishings throughout and doors leading to another large rear terrace which overlooks the communal pool and landscaped gardens and also gives views to the sea. There is a shower room on this floor. Upstairs you will find 3 good sized bedrooms with wardrobes. The two double bedrooms both have terraces leading off which again give fabulous views of the sea or the old town of Altea and the mountains. There is a further staircase leading to an open plan bedroom with single bed and also a lounge area with comfortable seating and another balcony with amazing views.

There are a total of 5 terraces and each one gives a lovely view of the sea or the old town of Altea and its elevated church. Outside there are communal landscaped gardens and a large communal pool with shallow children's area. Ample parking can be found outside of this property.

Bicycles, cars and boats can be hired by the day or by the week as can children's and baby equipment, these must be pre-booked. We also offer safety deposit box hire, airport transfers and much more. The air conditioning units are free standing and will be charged at a supplement of 25€ per week, please let us know if you wish to use these units. Please ask us for information on the service you need to make your holiday perfect. Discounted rates for 2 person occupancy, during winter season, see tariff.

Conditions

A 20% (250 euro minimum)deposit is required to secure your booking with the balance payable within 8 weeks of the start of your holiday. A 350€ damage deposit will also be required. The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

The nearest Airport is Alicante and just a short coastal drive using the AP7 motorway will bring you to the property. The Costa Blanca is renowned for its year round sunshine and low rainfall, fresh fish, hand picked oranges, figs, dates and vegetables. In the early spring the whole area is covered with the white or pink blossom from the Almond trees and the sight and smell is incredible. Many fiestas held throughout the year can be enjoyed by all ages, these colourful spectacles can be found in most towns and include the Moors and Christians festivals with week long processions, battles and incredible firework displays. In June the celebration of Hogeras where huge statues are set on fire to celebrate the night of St Juan should not be missed and the province of Alicante is known for staging the best Hogeras festival. The cosmopolitan City of Alicante is just 45 minutes by car or can be reached via a coastal train ride and has a fantastic port area and the spectacularly tiled Esplanada, favoured in the afternoons by the locals who sit and watch the people pass by. The Santa Barbara castle is wonderfully lit at night and is host to the many concerts and firework displays to mark celebrations throughout the year. A fabulous marina with yachts and visiting cruise ships and typically spanish tapas bars serving excellent local food. The resort of Albir just 10 minutes by car south of this property can be reached by walking along the lovely promenade popular amongst tourists, for a morning or evening stroll. The fishing town of Calpe is superb to visit and renowned for its fish restaurants selling the catches of the day. Just 20 minutes south is the town of Villajoyosa with its bright painted houses, painted this way it is said so that the fisherman can see their homes when out at sea. Benidorm beaches and nightlife can easily be reached by car, taxi or local bus service.

The Altea area

Altea itself is a typically spanish town with white washed houses in the old town, cobbled streets and a fantastic church and town square surrounded by restaurants, cafe bars, shops selling local crafts and paintings and wonderful views. Everything is within walking distance from this property including the beach, promenade, supermarket, banks and wonderful boutiques. The beach and promendade of Altea, which can be walked in 10 minutes offers more restaurants and shops and also links with the promenade of Albir which provides a lovely walk. For the more energetic there is a stunning walk to the lighthouse which gives views to Benidorm and Calpe and its famous landmark rock the Peñon de Ifach. The Don Cayo Golf Club is within a 15 minute drive from the property and there are many other courses to be played all within 1 hours drive and include La Sella, Las Olivas, Golf Ifach, Villa Aitana/La Faula, Las Rejas, Bonalba Golf, Alicante Golf and Alenda Golf. Lots of fiestas happen during the year including the Film Festival held in Alfaz on the edge of Benidorm between 2 - 11 July 2010 - with famous actors and actresses attending - a selection of latest films are even shown on the beach at Albir on a large screen for all to enjoy.The theme parks of Terra Mitica, Aqualandia, Terra Natura, Mundo Mar and Aquanatura are just a short distance away. There are fabulous mountain walks to explore and the tourist attractions of Guadalest with its town and castle set high on a mountain and why not swim in the water falls at Callosa. We are able to organise any activity that you need from balloon flights, helicopter rides, jeep safari, boat hire, fishing trips, quad bike hire, bicycles, jet skiing, nordik walking and paint ball .............. just tell us what you require.

Nearest airport Alicante, take the AP7 motorway to junction 65 (approximately 45 minutes) the property is approximately 10 minutes from junction 65 following the signs to Altea on the N332. Alternatively take a train from Alicante station heading North and the nearest station is Altea, you will need to take a short taxi drive from this station. An airport transfer taking you door to door can be arranged from as little as 65€ for 4 people including luggage. we can also arrange daily or weekly car rental although a car is not essential at this property. Alternative airport is Valencia which is just 1 hour 20 minutes from this property - check out flight offers and bargains available with your local low cost airline.
