“This luxurious 3 bedroom apartment is located in the 5* Villa Gadea in the popular town of Altea on the Costa Blanca in Spain. The spacious living area includes a large open plan kitchen-dining room, comfortable lounge and TV. One en-suite bedroom is located off the first floor terrace and offers a charming sunny aspect, whilst the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms have garden views and their own private balconies.
Outside, the terrace has dining furniture, sun loungers and a private jacuzzi - perfect for al fresco dining on the warm Mediterranean evenings! The terrace overlooks the large gardens which feature a shared private swimming pool. Altea itself is packed with great restaurants as well as plenty of shops and places of historical interest. The unspoilt beach of La Olla is located within an easy walk of our apartment and offers fantastic water sports facilities and beach bars during the summer period. Our apartment offers the perfect setting for exploring the local area. The apartment itself sits at the bottom of the Bernia mountain range, making it a perfect setting for outdoor activities including hiking, climbing and mountain biking. There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy water sports including sailing. There are also several excellent golf courses nearby.
Real club de Faula Benidorm offers two 18-hole golf courses, and is the most exciting new golf project on the Costa Blanca for almost 10 years.
The Levante course is Par 72 and 6626 metres.
The Poniente course is Par 62 and 3858 metres.
Designed by Jack Nicklaus these two 18-hole golf courses are suitable for all levels of player. Located in a pine filled valley with views to the sea and mountains it covers more than 80 hectares and is 6,612 meters in length.
Laid out on a surface area of over 80 hectares, the Levante Course is an American-style course with wide fairways and exquisitely shaped greens over 6612 meters long. It also enjoys spectacular views of the Mediterranean and the Finestrat mountains
Calpe is only 20 minutes by car through the mountain on the coast road with lovely views. A quaint old town at one end. A bustling town surrounds it with many nationalities living here. The Saturday market is not to be missed. A lovely sandy beach here and it stretches out either side of the Penon de Ifach ( a large rock that looks like Gibralter). You can walk up here, it overlooks the port where there are many lively fish restaurants

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
Altea is located a ten minute drive North of Benidorm (10 km), about 1 hour from Alicante along the N-332 and is one of the most memorable coastal towns of the Costa Blanca, retaining its own unique Spanish charm in spite of its increasing tourism and popularity. It lies directly by the sea in the midst of a beautiful bay and is surrounding by rugged mountains - really picturesque! The name comes from the Moorish 'Althaya' which means 'health to all'.
Situated on a steep hillside a short walk from the sea, with stunning views over the Bay of Altea, it is a town steeped in history and has long been a popular retreat for artists, sculptors and writers. With the recent addition of the University of Culture and Fine Arts and a new concert hall Altea has been bestowed the official title of the 'Cultural Capital of the Valencian region'.
The city centre is a treasure trove of shops, craft galleries, restaurants and little white-washed buildings adorned with flowers - all waiting to be discovered in the winding and cobbled medieval lanes, look for the famous blue-domed church of the Virgin de Consuelo at the top of these lanes; it is well worth the walk, the views from the top overlooking the bay of Altea with the mountain backdrop are nothing short of spectacular!
To reach the Church, simply continue walking upwards towards the blue domes (or follow the signs to the 'Poble Antic'). At the top you will find yourself in a delight little square, lined with cafés and restaurants - just perfect for a 'tapas' or a chilled 'vino blanco'. It is a very popular spot with the locals too with plenty of Spanish flair
The Altea / Villa Gadea area
Benidorm is only 20 minutes South, and the liveliest spot on the coast of Spain. Spend Sunday afternoon here on the prom and watch the entire world go by. Or dance the night away in the clubs and bars. Over 1000 restaurants and 30 discos to choose from. Book the Benidorm Palace, the biggest stage in Europe, for something different! There are also the theme parks to spend a whole day - Terramitica, Aqualandia, and Mundomar. Or relax on two of the best sandy beaches for miles. On the way there on Sunday morning (after church of course) call into El Sisne bricabrac market and have a beer to live music. The main Fiesta here is around the last week in October or beginning of November, with an incredible firework display on the beach. The burning of the effigies is in June

Altea is located a ten minute drive North of Benidorm (10 km), about 45 minutes from Alicante Airport or 1 hour 15 minutes from Valencia Airport.
We recommend www.doyouspain.com for car hire.
Last year we also used www.economycarhire.com Their prices are inclusive of insurance. and we have found them to very helpful.
Local buses run regularly between the airport and the town.
There are always local taxis available - fare should be no more than 75 euros from Alicante

This is the perfect place to unwind – peaceful surroundings and a beautiful apartment. We would recommend this apartment for a winter break. Although we liked it so much we will probably return for a spring or summer holiday. Sandra and Pam were so helpful. Everything was perfect even the weather! |

Luxury apartment. Fabulously presented with nice linen and towels. Spotlessly clean. Set in a loverly location just a short stroll through the gardens to the beach. We would highly recommend this apartment and the town of Alteas is second to none, there is a gorgeous promenade with bars & restaurants, andt we adored the culture & romance of the old town. Best food & wine we've ever eaten. A perfect base for travelling around the Costa Blanca and we will most certainly be returning as well as recommending it to friends and family. |

It was our 4th summer coming back to this apartment and we always feel sorry when the last day arrives. An excellent accommodation, nicely decorated, fresh, cosy and comfortable. Facilities are very good and the huge terrace is amazing from the early morning to the late night. We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children (19, 17 and 13 years of age), and after so many years of coming back to this apartment, we know the area quite well. Within walking distance the hotel offers great restaurants, a spa and paddle tennis courts. A short drive away there is a world - class 18 hole golf course, with a very nice restaurant. Our teenagers enjoyed Terra Mitica the amusement park, AquaLandia water park (both 20 minutes with the car). Benidorm is 30 minutes away with the car if you want to feel the heat and the vibe of the spanish nightlife (taxi journey back to apartment 10 -15 euros) On the quiet days we just went down to the swimming pool, beach (5 minutes walk) or stayed in the jacuzzi on the terrace with a glass of sangria. Already looking forward to our 2 weeks this summer. Pam and Sandra will make sure that everything is perfect as always. Lana & Family |

A deposit of 50% is required on booking. The remaining balance, plus 250 pounds refundable security deposit, required 8 weeks prior to arrival, this is returned 10 days from departure, less any deductions for breakages or losses.
We provide: bed linen, towels, tea towels, kitchen towels, pool towels. Light weight loungers for use by the pool or beach. Weekly linen change and maid service by arrangement.
For your convenience and to minimise the annoying cost of buying packs of household & grocery items that you might only use a couple of times, we provide: washing up liquid, laundry wash/rinse, dishwasher tablets, bathroom toiletries.
As well as fresh milk, bread, butter, tea, coffee & sugar, the kitchen is stocked with dry goods, flour, rice, pasta, spices & sauces etc.
SUPPLEMENTS APPLY: Final clean €95, Additional cleaning may be required following a long let.
