About the home

Beautiful brand new 3 bed villa completed July 2006. Situated in the new exclusive urbanisation of Monterico which is only a few minutes drive from the village of Altea la Vella which has a choice of shops along with two Supermarkets, Bakery and restaurants.

Accommodation in this property is on one floor. The spacious open plan kitchen/ diner/ lounge has seating for 6. The kitchen is fully equipped, complete with washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. The property has 3 reasonable sized bedrooms. The main bedroom has an en suite with bidet and shower. All bedrooms have built in wardrobes with air conditioning. The main bathroom has a full bath and shower. The property has french doors which lead on to a covered porch with outside gas BBQ, ideal for outdoor dining al fresco. The rectangular pool which is surrounded by a terrace, is ideal for lounging on the sun beds. There are stairs from the terrace which lead you down to an enclosed landscaped garden with a variety of fruit trees. Don't forget to bring your laptop because we have wifi internet service available.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

There is hardly any place you can better describe than the place where you live. Only seven km. from horrendous Benidorm and about 40 km north of Alicante lies Altea, a lovely fishing village not destroyed by skyscrapers, because local law forbids building more than six plants. Because there are only a few hotels Altea has kept clear of the mass tourism on the Costa Blanca. During the summer month every night on the small cozy plaza in the old centre there is a (original) handicraft market . All around the plaza are different bars and restaurants, from where you have a wonderful view of the Med, because the plaza is situated at the highest point of the village. Every Tuesday there is a market on the sea boulevard. For those who like theme parks at about 10 km. there is Terra Mitica. In Callosa, about 15 km. distance there are the Algar spring with a small waterfall. Continue another 15 km. and You'll come to Guadalest, an entire village built on top of a cliff.

The Villa is situated 2km from Altea La Vella 7km from Altea. Golf course 4km from the Villa.

The Villa is a 10 minute drive from the town of Altea which has the blue domed church of Virgin del Consuelo (Our lady of Solace) which is one of the symbols of the Costa Blanca. Altea is famous for its many shops ranging from art and crafts to clothes and leather shops.

“Villa Schiavone is a perfect place for a family holiday” Villa Schiavone is a perfect place for a family holiday, we highly recommend it. A spacious house, tastefully decorated, very clean, comfortable and functional. A car is recommended but not essential as the nearest town – Altea la Vella is a thirty minutes walk. It has two supermarkets, a number of restaurants, cafes, news agent etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are thinking of booking next year. Ellie

“Excellent, everything you could wish for in a villa.” I would like to say that this villa was excellent. It had all the amenities you need for a top class stay. Lovely barbecue area and outdoor swimming pool. Kept the children entertained all day. The kitchen was clean and well equipped and bedrooms were very spacious. There were some lovely restaurants nearby. All in all this is definitely a place we will want to stay again.
