Situated in the hills of Altea la Vella. Overlooking the Don Cayo Golf Course. Approximately 10 minutes from the beach and the stunning town of Altea.
The house shares a swimming pool & tennis court which is set back in secluded gardens. All local amenities are easily accessible. The house is fitted with all mod con's to enable people to self-cater but also a short distance from Altea which hosts numerous restaurants to suit all taste buds and budgets. The house is a lovely size and has 3 balconies. The largest is perfect for families who enjoy a meal together and for looking at the stunning view.

Conditions
Due to the balconies we would not recommend this property to people with children under 5 years old. We are flexible on length of rentals but would ask for a 25% deposit on booking.
The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
Situated in the mountains of Altea La Vella approximately a 10 minute drive from the beach and the beautiful town of Altea. The area is stunning with lovely beaches, eateries and with its short distance to Alicante, Valencia and other nearby attractions such as Castell de Guadalest you are spoilt for things to do.
If you are a keen golfer the Don Cayo Golf course is a 2 minute walk from the house and it overlooks the 9th hole. You can play Golf the in the morning and be on the beach in the afternoon as the house provides such versatility.
The shared pool and the tennis court is great for active families who want a good balance of activity and relaxation. There is a large marina slightly up the coast which provides plenty of opportunity to sail or windsurf if watersports are your thing.
We have spent many family holidays here using the pool and the tennis court, long meals on the balcony and hours of fun on the beach while the kids learnt to windsurf and sail. Perfect for couples as well who want to relax but still eat out and enjoy the evenings. It is a great place for all age groups.
The Altea / Altea La Vella area
A beautiful Town with its own port which provides fresh produce to the restaurants and supermarkets in the town. Great restaurants, great shopping especially if you love clothes and shoes.
Altea is a holiday location for a wide range of nationalities but most importantly the Spanish holiday here. Throughout the year there are numerous fiestas but their summer fiestas are outstanding. You think the fireworks will never end !

An easy 60 km's or 45 minute drive from Alicante Airport or 1hr 15 minutes from Valencia Airport. Easily accesible from the motorway. Easyjet flights available from Stansted and Gatwick. Monarch Airways from Luton or Gatwick and other low cost airlines fly from most airports in the UK to Alicante.
Alicante Airport has a number of Car rental companies all extremely reliable and reasonable.
So easy to get to - your holiday can start as soon as you get off the plane.

This house in Altea La Vieja was just perfect for our family of five, great views over the golf course and out to sea. A great base for seeing this area and just a short trip from the village where there is plenty to offer if you don't want to go far. A car is a must to explore this region. The house itself is more than adequate plenty of room to lounge with the kids and have meals on the terrace. Loads of space in the bedrooms and bathrooms too. The shared pool wasnever too busy and set in a lovely garden where you can take shade from the sun if needed. Kids and adults both enjoyed this trip immensley, home from home with the added bonus of glorious weather and true valencian lifestyle. |

My husband and I spent a week at Don Cayo House in August, with our three teenage daughters. We arrived quite late at night, after flying to Alicante. We followed the owner's directions and had no difficulty finding the property at all. We were very pleased when we arrived! It's fantastically well equipped for a large family; and not only that it feels like a "home". The view from the balcony is stunning. The pool is wonderful and is just a stone's throw from the house. One of our daughters is vegetarian and eating out in Spain isn't very veggie friendly so we self cater most of the time. The house is equipped with everything you would need for this purpose. There are two great supermarkets nearby. We did eat out a couple of times though, and the local restaurants cater for every taste and budget. The information in the property with regard to local amenities is very comprehensive and most useful to "newbies" to the area, We hired a car and found some great places to visit locally; the waterfalls, the marina up the road and the little bars along the beach in nearby La'Olla (if that's what it's called). A visit to BarVilla in the evening is a must! Altea town is delightful especially at night when it seems to come alive with locals and holidaymakers, and the atmosphere is lovely. We watched fireworks one night from the local beach in celebration of a Saint's day I believe, and they were magnificent!! Better than any we've seen anywhere else in the world. We took a trip to the Waterpark in Benidorm which was great fun. The service, advice and information we received from the owner was second to none and the local agent is also very helpful. We would have no hestitation in recommending this property to others and the hours of trawling the internet to find the "perfect" property for our holiday were worth it! |
