The Valenciana region
We are located in a region which is packed up & down its coast with great places to visit. Valencia is only an 1hr15min drive away and is bidding to become Spain's second city after Barcelona. Take a look at the following website to see what i mean... www.cac.es This is Spain's best Arts & Science Museum by a long way and maybe even Spains best Museum full stop. The Valencia region is also home to one of Spain's most famous and delicious dishes - Paella. Closer to home are the cosmopolitan coastal towns of Denia, Javea, Oliva & Moraira which offer some of the best beaches & restaurants in the Costa Blanca North region. From Denia you can catch ferries to Majorca and Ibiza. For something completely different Benidorm is situated 25km south of Altea, although not everyones cup of tea it is a great place to entertain the kids with some of Europes best adventure & water parks. Check out our local information for more. The old Spanish part of Benidorm starting at playa Poniente has some of the best Tapas bars around and if its bustling nightlife you're looking for the Levante area of Benidorm has it all. Good for an early aperitif on the way home after a full day in the parks and whilst its quiet. We clear out before the mayhem starts around 20.00. Worth a trip though.
Altea La Vella
The beautiful town of old Altea is renowned for its cobbled streets, white washed houses and blue domed cathedral. Here you will find a wealth of different restaurants, bars and artisan shops. In the Summer for 8 weeks there is a craft and artisan market every evening.
Within easy access of the apartment there are several beaches: the local beach of La Olla is only 10 minutes drive away - whilst it is a pebble beach it is clean and does not get crowded in the summer. It has small beach bars in the summer and some great restaurants. A little further are the beaches of Playa de la Roda, Playa del Cap Negret, Playa del Cap Blanch, Playa del Mascarat. The town of Calpe close by with its beautiful blue flag beaches with golden sand and crystal clear water. The whole town of Calpe is dominated by the huge Penon de Ifach, an enormous Gibraltar like rock which separates the two main beach areas.
For a great day out with or without the kids there are a number of attractions within 20 minutes drive, they include amongst others Terra Mitica – a theme park with some great roller coasters and water rides for all age groups. Aqualandia – which has to be one of the best water parks in Europe. Mundomar – a marine park with a wide variety of animals and exotic birds. It's also famous for shows including sea-lions,dolphins and killer whales. Terra Natura - a journey through various countries showing the inhabitants and animals. Fonts de Algar is about 20 minutes inland - a natural spring where you can bathe in rock pools and climb up waterfalls. Other activities in the area include cycling, diving, fishing, horse riding, mountain biking, mountaineering, paragliding, sailing, swimming, tennis, walking, water skiing, wind-surfing.

"Lovely bright, modern and spacious apartment with views to die for."
This apartment was one of the best we have ever rented. It is light, spacious, modern, clean and has a large terrace used for dinning, sunbathing or relaxing. The wifi was a great plus for the teenage kids. The views are fabulous and the communal pool was lovely and tranquil, often very quiet for July/August.
My only negative points are that the patio door has no handle on the outside and one hot afternoon we closed the door by mistake and the whole family was locked out. Also when taking a shower we had to constantly press the red button to stop the water from going cold. I understand the owners are fixing this issue.
Overall the apartment is fantastic and I would definitely return. The location is great just a 15 minute walk into Altea Le vella where you will find some great restaurants and bars. We also enjoyed days at Calpe (lovely big beach) and climbed the big rock. The old town of Altea is a great place to visit. If you have a young family Terra Mitika and Aqualand are a must. 20 mins drive from the apartment is a gorge with waterfalls at Fonts d'Algar you can swim in the refreshing cold water jump off the boulders, the kids loved it. This is an area of outstanding natural beauty with plenty of things to do.
A fantastic apartment and great holiday. We will definitely return.

"Perfect apartment in a lovely costa blanca retreat."
We loved this apartment up on the hills above Altea La Vella. Clean, functional apartment with everything you could possibly need. Huge terrace perfect for stargazing/eating. Lovely communal pool which was never busy.
Perfect location for mountain walks, beach days, kayak rental, waterfall trips etc...
Perfect for us as a family of five. We'll be back if you'll have us?!

"Luxury in the Hills"
A beautiful 3 bedroom apartment larger living room and generous kitchen space with all the necessary appliances required. Bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable.
Large balcony area for Al Fresco dining and sun bathing. Pool area is small but suits the space well.
The apartments are up in Altea Hill, a car is a must but make sure to get a larger engine car, we had a opel corsa which struggled with the hills. At first we found it we felt very isolated but once we came to terms with our locations it was only a 10 minute drive to Altea town centre.
