The Kyrenia District
Northern Cyprus is known throughout Europe as the jewel of the Mediterranean and remains the perfect, peaceful hideaway. The island is steeped in culture and history, the ancient town Kyrenia is the main harbour town on the North coast of Cyprus with its medieval castle protecting the horse-shoe shaped harbour with its many cafes, bars and restaurants along the promenade.
Just a few minutes drive inland takes you to St. Hilarion, the fairy tale castle in the sky, built during the crusades overlooking most of the beautiful Northern coastline, and Kantara (conquered by Richard the Lionheart in 1191). Monasteries,for example Bellapais Abbey and the Apostolos Andreas Monastery can be visited. There are Roman ruins at Salamis and Soli not to be missed.
There are undeveloped beaches all along the coast, particularly at the Karpaz Penninsular and it is possible to watch the protected sea turtles nesting and hatching at Alagadi Beach.
The winters are mild and with over 300 days of sunshine a year, the temperatures can reach into the 70s as early as March making Northern Cyprus' climate one of the best in Europe.
Alsancak area
Specialist orchid walks during the early spring, local scuba diving schools and para gliding experiences available outside of low season.
The Kyrenian Mountains are traffic free and provide wonderful walking and bird watching,especially in the spring when the wild flowers are in bloom.The citrus growing regions to the east are also worth a visit.
Turkish cuisine should be sampled at the plentiful,varied and reasonably priced restaurants.Some restaurants further afield will supply free taxis for their customers. English is widely spoken throughout the island and Turkish Cypriot people are extremely friendly and welcoming.
How to get there
Our Villa Management Company can arrange flights,transfers and car hire for you to make booking our villa as easy possible.
Flights land at the Southern Cypriot airport of Larnaca and a taxi is there to meet to from Northern Cyprus to take you across the border. Transfer time is approx. 1hr 20 mins door to door and the cost is £100 for up to 6 people for those not booking the package deal.
Package deal includes Villa rental(s), Private airport transfers and direct flights. Flights are also available to the Northern Cypriot airport of Ercan, transfer time approx.45mins.

Further details indoors: Walk in the front door to be greeted by an attractive traditional open plan dining and lounge area. Adjacent to the lounge is a large, fully equipped kitchen and across the entrance is the downstairs twin room with its own air-conditioning unit for added comfort and double bedroom and the spacious house bathroom.
The first floor comprises of the air-conditioned master double bedroom with dressing area and luxury en-suite bathroom with access to extensive sun terrace ideal for al fresco dining. All three bedrooms have fitted wardrobes so there is plenty of space for luggage and all rooms have been furnished to a high standard. Cot and High chairs available on request. Air conditioning is situated throughout the villa.
Further details outdoors: The 2 villas on this site share an exclusive 30x15 foot pool with steps and hand rail for easy access. The first floor sun terrace has seating for 6, however there is space for 12 using the patio seating making it perfect if renting the 2 villas together.
There is parking attached to the side of the villa, secured by beautiful wrought iron gates and traditional Mediterranean brick wall ensuring child safety.

A towel and linen service is provided by The Villa Club with Mustafa and Alison (the Villa Club owners) on hand 7 days a week to help you in any way. Their complex and facilities are also available to the residents of the Green Hill Villas which includes a larger pool, bar and cafe. Please bring own beach/pool towels. No smoking inside the bedrooms please. Car hire is available through our villa management company.
