About the home

Nestling beneath the Besparmak mountains, yet only minutes from the beach, this newly built villa is situated in a quiet cul de sac of only 10 individually designed villas. Green Valley Villa has a large private pool (over 30ft by 15ft) with extensive gardens and patio area and a covered pergola and barbecue for alfresco dining. The rear of the property gently slopes towards a ravine abundant with lush verdant foliage..

Only a 5 minute drive from the famous Escape Beach, with many up market restaurants close by, this is an ideal location from which to enjoy the many attractions of Northern Cyprus.

The villa is tastefully appointed, comprising large open plan lounge with stone fire place and corniche and dining area leading to the dining kitchen which has a raised terrace overlooking the ravine abundant with trees and plants and panoramic views of the distant mountains. There is a toilet and washbasin and stairs leading down to a utility washroom with access to the beautiful gardens which have been newly landscaped. An undercover tiled area provides over 80sq metres of shade where adults and children alike can escape the Cypriot heat.

A marble staircase with distinctive cast iron balustrade opens onto a large gallery landing. The master bedroom has a large terrace with sea views, an en-suite bathroom with shower, wash basin and toilet and a double bed and fitted wardrobes. The second bedroom opens onto a terrace and has an en-suite bathroom with bath, shower, wash basin and toilet, twin beds and fitted wardrobes. The third bedroom shares the bathroom with the second bedroom and has twin beds and fitted wardrobes. All bedrooms have air conditioning and there is private parking for two vehicles.

The Kyrenia region

North Cyprus is one of the few relatively uncommercial areas left in the Mediterranean. Its natural beauty will leave you breathless, whether it is the range of mountains running parallel to the coast or the wild flowers that grow at their best in spring. Crusader castles perch on three of the Kyrenia mountain peaks and offer views reaching far across the land and sea on a clear day. Swimming is excellent, either from maintained hotel beaches, where a minimal charge is made for use of sun-beds and umbrella, or from deserted beaches further afield in clear waters rarely seen in the Mediterranean.

With beautiful, hot sunny weather and sparkling waters, Northern Cyprus is the perfect holiday desination for all. It is tranquil and unspolit by mass tourism, yet at the same time there is something for the most adventurous traveller. Kyrenia is beautiful and calm, with white washed houses and Byzantine Castles, and during the night, the locals have a stroll and the tasteful bars and restaurants come to life.

The Alsancak area

This village has something to offer everyone with its spectacular views, authentic village atmosphere and easy access to the beaches and restaurants. There is a mini market within walking distance and a choice of supermarkets a short drive away. It is approximately 4 miles west of Kyrenia / Girne with its pretty old harbour and shops.

Located near the Escape Beach, this is the perfect area for Mediterrenean sun and white sands, sparkling calm, clean and clear waters, so snorkelling is very safe. You can be taken out in a boat with the locals and have a lovely days snorkelling. There are many sophisticated restaurants offering fine cuisine from delicious seafood, Italian, Chinese and indian food. Those sports fanatics who may suffer from Sky Sports withdrawal can walk to the local Ravine Sports Bar and restaurant.

Flights into Ercan airport, the main airport serving North Cyprus. Our preferred airline is Cyprus Turkish Airlines, also known as CTA.

Alternatively, it is now possible for EU citizens to fly into Larnaca, South Cyprus and travel across the border to holiday in the North. Airlines such as British Airways and Cyprus Airways offer a varied timetable.

The owners can arrange a taxi to and from the villa for a fee of £40.

Car hire can also be arranged with the car delivered to the villa, approximately £25 per day including tax and insurance.

“What a wonderful place for a Memorable Family Holiday” Green Valley is a lovely place to spend a family holiday - a great location near wonderful beaches and surrounded by great restaurants and an abundance of choice. We particularly liked the size of the propoerty - all rooms were a great size, and we not only had a great lounge, but also a dining room, and fully furnished kitchen also with a table in. Each of the bedrooms benefits from a balcony with great views. The villa is wonderfully airy and in a quiet location. Both of our boys slept as well there as they did at home - testament to the wonderful feel of the place. Arriving and setting up couldn't have been easier - I even arrived to a cold beer in the fridge! Bus links in and out of Kyrenia or to the beaches are regular and inexpensive and there are plenty of shops located in the vicinity for all your shopping needs. We hired a car for the 10 days and found ourselves venturing east and west and into the mountains too - there is plenty to do to remain occupied if sitting in the sun all day isn't enough! I have already booked a return visit for next year - such is the enjoyment myself and my family had. Oh I almost forgot to mention the huge swimming pool that the villa has and all the pool toys you could use. We never did get round to using the bbq, but next year with the children older I can imagine us doing so! I rented Green Valley for the whole of may 2008 the villa was fantastic lovely pool nice modern furniture very clean with a huge underbuildwhich has a shaded and comfortable wicker suite,I do not think i will find another place that could beat it,you need a car but rentals are cheap,cannot praise the villa enough,so much space and in such a lovely setting.

wonderful villa in fantastic location very quiet yet within 2 minute drive of main road to kyrenia ,set in a ravine with easy acsess to local shops restaurants and beach. We found the pool and underbuild area a big hit with the children during the day and a great place to relax at night Alan &Barbara were great site managers and nothing was too much trouble for them.The villa is spotless inside the decor to a high standard and the master bedroom absolute heaven i will definitely recommend this villa to my friends and family Coral from Leicester stayed july 2008
