"Exactly what I was looking for!"
I was looking for self catering accommodation close to my family. Gamekeepers Cottage was perfect, it was ideally situated for me, the facilities were comfortable and a real home from home and the owners were friendly, approachable and helpful. I hope to book again in the future.

"Wonderful welcoming, warm and comfortable haven on a winter's day"
Travelling 800 miles with two elderly dogs in the depths of winter, we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful surroundings and comfort that awaited us, so much more convenient than a hotel, and well worth the effort to find it. Lots of space and logs to burn, and a very comfortable place to relax at the end of the day. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer to enjoy the lovely location more. Beautiful views and attractive walks nearby. Helpful and thoughtful owners made a very nice experience even better. Only the cooking facilities were a bit unusual but were adequate for our needs.
Pleased you enjoyed your stay at Gamekeepers, you will be pleased to know that the "cooking facilities " have now been updated to a full oven and hob. Have to accept that we cannot improve on the views and the walks here though. Hope to see you again in the future.
