Alpendorf provides all the winter fun and scenery you would expect from an Alpine village. The apartment offers a flexible and comfortable holiday options with the convenience of local hotels and restaurants when desired. A great option for couples and families with a range of ski school available from kindergarten upwards if you want some free ski time.

Located near the main town of St Johan I'm Pongau, Alpendorf provides a great central location to explore the regions ski resorts in the winter or the fantastic alpine scenery in the summer. There is a range of restaurants for all budgets ranging from bar meals to 5 star. Ski Hire, ski essentials and lessons can all be arranged in the village

The apartment has modern furniture and is well equipped for self catering. The apartment is professionally cleaned between guests and is provided with linen and towels. Unlimited high speed broadband is included along with cable TV. A new sofa bed in 2022 will ensure the best comfort for all guests.

The building was converted last year to the community heating system which is provided via from an environmentally friendly biomass facility.

A ski and boot room is located in the ground floor, which has a door direct out to the carports and a short walk to the ski area. Access to the piste can normally be gained 120m along the road from where you can ski on a pisted track direct to either of the lifts. If you have small children a good alternative is to drive them to the Gondola carpark (3 minutes) which will allow use of the Gondola for up and down lifts (ski school is conducted at the top of the Gondola). The Alpendorf ski Area, is accessed from Alpendorf via either an express heated chairlift or a gondola. The ski area has been massively extended in recent years to enable continuous skiing to Wagrain, Flachau, Kleinarl and Zauchansee. There are a good variety of open pistes, tree lined runs, fun-parks, and beginner areas. The area benefits from being in the Eastern alps and has an excellent snow record and an extensive snow making system. Alpendorf is part of the Ski Amade ski area, which covers over 850km of piste and 270 modern lifts.

Alpendorf is centrally located in the Ski Amade area, offering great ski variety within a 30min drive to other areas such as Schladming, Bad Gastein, Zauchansee, and my personal favourite Muhlbach (shhhhh it's a secret). For the adventurous you can ski somewhere new every day with the same lift pass and experience the contrast of high mountain scenery to the perfectly pisted runs through the trees, chose from the extensive linked areas to the quieter but equally entertaining smaller resorts.

The village of Alpendorf is a beautiful Alpine resort, providing a variety of excellent restaurants, bars, ski shops and ski schools. The apres ski bars are an experience not to be missed.

Summer visitors can enjoy the many local attractions and lovely mountain scenery. The salzburg card provides free single use access to the majority of mountain lifts and free or discounted entry to many local attractions. Escape up the mountains for lunch or relax in the local water park.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Kerry (the owner) a message.

If Kerry (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
