"Comfortable, well appointed Chalet for both Winter and Summer holidays"
My visit, by some coincidence coincided with that of the owners Tim and Sara who were at all times keen to ensure that everyone's needs were well taken care of. Accommodation was excellent and we… More

"Home from home in Alpe d'Huez"
Spent the last week of January on a catered basis at the quite excellent Chalet Cornillon in Alpe D'Huez. Our stay coincided with the owner, Tim, hosting a buddies' reunion which might have led to a suspicion that we were party pooping. Nothing could have been further from the truth as we were made to feel completely at home throughout our time there. Chalet hosts Ethan and Will from Yorkshire rugby league stock struck a nice balance between professionalism and friendliness and were always speedy in dealing with any arisen issues. Overall, highly recommended as skiing accommodation in Alpe D'Huez. Would also speak very highly of Masterclass and Henri Sports for lessons and equipment hire respectively, both in terms of value and excellent service.

"Excellent, Friendly, Spacious Chalet"
The chalet had a very friendly, and welcoming feel towards it. The decor was modern yet classy giving an authentic french chalet vibe without being full of tat and nik naks typical of other french chalets. It was also sparklingly clean and tidy and this was maintained throughout the week by the efficient and organised yet friendly chalet hosts who went to every length possible to ensure we had an excellent and memorable christmas stay (which meant working on their day off) The food was outstanding and well varied from a day to day basis, giving vibrant authentic flavours, rarely found on the slopes of France. The chalet was well equipped with en suite rooms, sky TV, wifi etc. as well having a sauna and hot tub, great for resting the legs after a long day on the expansive slopes of Alpe du Huez which had plenty of pistes (and of piste) for skiers and boarders of all abilities. The village itself was lively and had plenty of reasonably priced bars and cafes. However these were quite a walk, uphill, from the chalet situated on the outskirts of the village, although this allowed a ski in/ski out when the snow conditions allowed it. Overall we had an excellent stay, with great value for money and we all went home with a smile and a satisfied feeling.

"Fabulous trip to Alpe d'Huez"
A great chalet in a fantastic location. We had a fabulous time cycling and doing via ferrata as well as just enjoying the area. This chalet is ideally situated for anyone wanting a relaxing holiday base or for those seeking somewhere to launch their winter and summer activities from. The new owners have plans to develop the provision to make it even better so if you're looking for somewhere to stay in this area then this would be a great place to consider. We'd definitely go back - in fact, we didn't want to leave!

"Nice, spacious chalet, good location, great atmosphere"
Nice chalet down the bottom end of the village, great views overlooking the valley and the road up, fantastic summer entertainment watching the road cyclists suffer up the last few kilometres of the climb after we'd been out mountain biking all day, (taking the ski lifts up). There's a fun mountain bike trail with red or blue features right across the road from the chalet that you can jump straight onto then pick up a ski lift lower down to bring you up to the centre of the village. The piste looks really close by too. The nearest cafes and bars are a walk up the hill, a bit of a leg stretcher, but just nice in the summer, you might want to get the free bus in bad weather though, but not sure it would be worth waiting for as it really isnt that far. My kids had a great time, plenty to keep them busy - the bike trails had got a bit cut up as the weather had been bad before we got there so they didn't ride, but there looked to be some easily accessible trails and they had been riding for 2 weeks already. Plenty to explore!

"Perfect chalet in the perfect location with a fantastic view"
We stayed in Chalet Cornillon in August , and used it as a base for downhill mountain biking. We couldn't have asked for a better location as the dh run immediately outside the chalet took us on an exciting warm up run to the gondola that then took us up to the main lift and the rest of the mountain. With a sauna, hot tub, drying room , balcony and spectacular views from a traditional style chalet we couldn't have asked for more. If you are looking for a ski in ski out chalet or ride in ride out in a tranquil position within walking distance of the resort centre then this is the one. Our ensuite room was clean and spacious and so was the whole chalet . We love the area and the chalet and intend to return for the winter season.

"views hairpins galore"
Clean, modern and well located just below village centre. 10 min walk up hill takes you straight into the heart of Alp D'Huez. We went for hiking and biking so this walk not a problem but in winter, the ski bus stops outside. There is a ski in/out option as runs pass close by if conditions permit. One of our niggles with other chalets is inadequate storage for bikes, skis, boards, boots etc. Not here, loads of room and sturdy racks. Perfect location to view cyclists attempting the famous TDF route and to attempt this yourself. We have already booked for skiing 2014/15 season.. The only small disadvantage would be the limited parking for self drive so you would need to check parking facilities before arriving. Overall, wonderful holiday, hosts and would definately recommend to anyone looking for well organised, british run chalet
