Alpe D'Huez is a glacier resort in a stunning south facing plateau, high in the Grandes Rousses mountains, it is the 5th largest skiing area in France linking the villages of Vaujany, Oz, Villard-Reulas and Auris-en-Osians with snow range 1860 - 3330m. Grande Rousses 245km with 123 pistes; 17 black, 36 red, 31 blue, 39 green runs a snowpark, boardcross,and 50km cross country
Alpe d'Huez area
This resort is ideal for families and skiers of all abilities and has the longest black run in the french alpes Sarenne Glacier at 16kms long and a number of cross country trails. It has suberb sports centre with numerous activites, ice skating rink, outdoor swimming pool, parapenting, snow scooters, ice climbing and driving. For eating out there are more than 40 restaurants and lots of lively bars full of action for apres ski, night clubs and a cinema, although this is a ski resort it is beautiful in the summer as well, and has fantastic walks and activities such as mountain bikes
How to get there
Easy jet, British airways, thomson fly (some are seasonal) Transfer times: Grenoble 1hour, Lyon 2hrs and Chambery 2 1/2hrs you can then get a ski coach upto the resort please contact owner for information Ferry crossing - Dover - Calais 575 miles approx time 8hours from Calais

Further details indoors: This one bedroomed apartment has bunk beds and a further bed underneath, the living area has a warm homely feel with a large corner settee which partially converts into a big double bed the kitchen area is fully equipped for self catering, the location is absolutley perfect next to the outdoor swimming pool and ice skating rink and all the local restaurants and bars.

Linen is not provided, but we can arrange for this to be rented at a small extra charge standard with ski rental Turn around is Saturday to Saturday Owner will consider mid-week rental but will need to contact for rates The property should be left in a clean condition i.e kitchen appliances and bathroom or there will be an additional cleaning charge of 35 euros deducted from security deposit Unfortunatley due to bad experience with renting to single people as a group we will put a limit of maximum of 3 persons in this scenerio and the refundable security deposit will be £500 or at the owners discression
