Like a small private chalet: ideally located in the very heart of l'Alpe d'Huez, Brisebise enjoys a view of the resort and the Grandes Rousses mountain range. It offers direct access to the ski lifts, outdoor swimming pool, Olympic ice rink, and shopping area with bars and restaurants. Yet, it is very quiet, on the top floor of Résidence la Ménandière.

Brisebise has been entirely refurbished in 2011. It is decorated in a contemporary designer style, but also offers every aspect of traditional chalet comfort, with wooden claddings and high ceilings with exposed beams. Enjoy warmth and flames with the new glass fireplace in the living room!

Brisebise is a brand new, top of the range accommodation for your family ski- or summer holiday.

The Rhône-Alpes region

Alpe d'Huez is a snow sure resort, from altitude 1850m, where all of the ski schools and most of the beginners slopes are located. The higher you get in the mountain, the more challenging the pistes. You have probably heard about the famous "Piste de Sarenne", the longest piste in Europe (more than 16km skiing or surfing down without any lift), well this is in Alpe d'Huez !!! It is also a fantastic place for off-piste skiing, particularly in the Spring. Alpe d'Huez is probably the second best place in France for off-piste skiing, right after Chamonix.

In the summer, the 21 pin turns have made of Alpe d'Huez the legendary high mountain stage of Tour de France. Another famous cycle race is called Marmotte and features 5000m height gain. Mountain biking is also very popular, with 250km of pistes and itineraries.

Alpe d'Huez benefits from a unique climate, in between Northern Alps and Southern Alps, getting both a lot of snow in the winter, and a much milder climate than other resorts further North. Ski, fun, and sun...Alpe d'Huez "the Island in the Sun" ...

Each January, the resort is now home to the International Film Festival of Alpe d'Huez, which becomes more and more popular over the years.
