Home description
Finca Aguilena is a beautiful modern Villa situated in the mountains, 6 mins drive from two lovely villages, with numerous bars and restaurants. Walking, wildlife and stunning, far reaching views are in abundance and it is the ideal place to chill out by the extra large pool (suitable for diving) or on one of it's 3 other terraces, all with tables/chairs, 1 fully furnished for dining and relaxing.
Alozaina is a beautiful old village with lovely 16C church. It has a weekly market as well as butchers, fishmonger, baker, mini markets and some interesting small shops. Most of the bars do good food/tapas.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
The villa is on the edge the Sierra de las Nieves Biosphere Natural Park. The property is set in the middle of it's own three acres.
This is a beautiful area with a lot of diversity of terrain - mountains, lakes, olive and orange groves, cork oak forests, interspersed with lovely white villages typical of Andalucia.
The area is famous for it's many lovely old cities and towns. Ronda - 50 mins drive from the Villa - has the oldest bullring in Spain. Mijas - a really stunning village 5 kms from Fuengirola and about 55 mins drive from the Villa - has the smallest, and is also very old.
Granada - just under two hours hours away - is famous for the beautiful and ancient Alhambra Palace. It also has skiing in the nearby Sierra Nevada. Beautiful Cordoba and Seville, with it's stunning Cathedral, are about 2 hours away and well worth a visit. Cordoba has the most fantastic Mezquita which is generally accepted to be the most beautiful in Spain.
Andalucia also has it's Lake District (!) which is about 50 mins away. Here, there are some lovely restaurants overlooking lakes, plus walks and lakeside areas for bathing etc.
The climate here is the driest and warmest in Spain.
Alozaina area
Alozaina, like all Spanish villages, has many ferias and celebrations. The main annual Feria takes place at the end of July and lasts about a week. It is well worth a visit - have a siesta first ! The nearby villages of Yunquera, Tolox and Casabonella also have their ferias and festivals.
The Malaga Feria (August) is one of the biggest in all of Spain, spectacular and well worth a visit. If you like horses you would particularly enjoy this - Spanish tradition at it's best. Also the odd bar or two !
There are many activities and attractions in the area. Monda, about 30 mins away, has a Gun Club (clay pigeon), where you can also experience quad-biking, 4 x 4 safaris and horse riding. There is also a restaurant and bar there and live music on Sundays.
There is wolf park at Antequera, with moonlight escorted tours, plus play areas for children and informative talks on the wolves etc.
There are many golf courses in the area, between 35 and 50 mins drive away. Children are well catered for with water-parks, crazy golf, and amusement areas, in the coastal region. The numerous beaches are spacious and clean with beach bars dotted along them from which you can keep an eye on the young ones.
How to get there
Most budget airlines fly to Malaga from all major airports in the U.K., including Easyjet. Car hire is essential and is available at Malaga Airport from many companies.
It is just under one hour's drive to the property, and full directions will be given. If help is needed with any of these services, the owners will be pleased to do this.

Deposit of 150 pounds repayable with 10 days of departure after inspection. Full amount of fee to be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival. Fee paid into bank in pounds or euros.
