Home description
These two, rental, 4 yr old spacious family country homes are ideally suited for those wanting to chill out and enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of inland Andalusia. To make the most of our facilities the Mediterranean sun ensures that you can relax and perhaps read by the pool on the terrace or exchange conversations with other guests and take a cooling dip from time to time.
We are only 5 k's from the white walled village of Alora which has all the amenities you may require - shops, market, bars, restaurants, banks, chemists etc.
These are two large modern, but tradional style Spanish family house set in a small private complex of only 5 homes.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
We are situated approx. 45 mins drive from the city of Malaga and the Coast. Malaga city is full of history with its Cathedral, Castle, Port, Old Town and now the new shopping malls. The open-topped bus is an ideal way to see the city with the availability to hop on and off at your convenience. For the explorer, from here you can take the high-speed train to Granda, Cordoba & Sevilla all steeped in history.
Near to us -5k's - is the quaint village of Alora built on three hills, one topped by a floodlite castle with magnificent views from the Morrish remains. And in the other direction we have the famous El Chorro with its Gorge, and the Lakes with more breathtaking views and a host of leisure pursuits for everyone.
A little further afield are the magical towns of Carratraca with its fabulous Roman Spa, Ardales with its Caves and then El Torcal with fantastic rock formations and the Wolf Park.
Alora area
The white walled village of Alora has all the amenities and facilities you may require from individual shops to a grand new modern supermarket where you will find all the provisions you need. Market day is on Mondays which is always worth a visit. In the bottom square is a wonderful old church and next door is the Tourist information and the Museum. The top square has many interesting shops and the Town Hall with wonderful architecture. There are many bars offering Tapas and Raciones, and several restaurants to suit all tastes. The Cervantes Theatre provides performances during the year from Drama, Plays, Music, Orchestras, and Flamenco.
Internet facilities too at the Casa del Cultura and a new Internet Cafe in the village for those of us who need to be kept informed whilst away from home.
How to get there
Fly to Malaga airport. Cheap flights available with Easy Jet, Jet2, Ryan Air, BMI, Monarch and more.
Car hire is available at competitive prices at the airport.
Leave Malaga on the A357 to Campillos and take the turn off for Alora and then direction of El Chorro. Journey takes around 45 mins.

Further details indoors: The entrance hall leads to the utility room/W.C. and a light and airy fitted kitchen has a rear terrace to catch that morning sun whilst enjoying your breakfast.
From the breakfast bar you look into the lounge with its comfortable seating and dining table - open fire for the cooler nights, and air-con. Satalite TV, DVD, CD and Radio are provided for you leisure.
Upstairs are three double bedrooms, two share a shower room and the third which is the master bedroom is full en suite and has its own private balcony overlooking the gardens and pool. All bedrooms have spacious fitted wardrobes and air-con or ceiling and mobile fans.
The master bedroom has its own private balcony overlooking the gardens and pool and is ideal for relaxing in private with an early morning cup of tea or that last glass of wine before retiring.
We also have a cot, child booster seat and car seat if required.
Bed linen and towels are provided but we ask you to bring your own pool towels.
Further details outdoors: The very spacious front terrace is furnished for "al fresco" dining with table, chairs, sunshade and BBQ. The rear terrace from the kitchen has dining facilities too for breakfast in the early morning sun.
In the distance are the glorious mountains of El Chorro and the Lakes, where you can experience the many pursuits for everyone's taste, walking, climbing, canoeing, quad-biking, fishing, horse riding etc and to enjoy wonderful Andalusian food and wines.
Near too are the villages of Carratraca with its beautiful Roman Spa and Ardales with ancient Caves and El Torcal with its breathtaking pre-historic atmospheric rock formations.
Here is where the Vultures nest, Eagles soar and the evenings are alive with the sounds & breathtaking colours of the BeeCatchers enjoying their last feast of the day in magical blue skies.

These five houses are on their own private road so parking is secure.
The pool, gardens and Boule pitch are shared by the other four houses when they are occupied which is not all of the year.
We live in one of the houses so we are on hand to help with any assistance or information that you may require, therefore on site but "out of sight".
Conditions
Smoking is not allowed indoors but is acceptable on the terraces. Pool/Beach towels are NOT provided, but no worries if you forget them, they can be purchased in the Bazaars in the village at a reasonable price.
50% deposit is required on booking - the remainder 4 weeks before arrival.
A refundable deposit of 50 €uros will be required on arrival in respect of any accidents or damage to either the house or the pool. This will be returned , if all is well, on the day of your departure.
