Home description
Casa Sampo is perfect for families or couples. We are situated in a pretty valley surrounded by Olive, Lemon and Orange trees. A great base for many outdoor activities, exploring rural Andalucia or the beaches of the Costa Del Sol but removed from the hustle and bustle of the Costa. There is ample space inside or outside to relax and unwind.
Good road and rail links nearby to make travelling around easy. Take the train to Malaga, a surprising city with its cafe culture, home of Picasso and lovely beaches all within walking distance of each other. Drive to historic Ronda or spend an evening howling with Wolves. Sit back and enjoy a barbecue and the stars, or the twinkling lights of local villages in the distance.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
The Guadalhorce Valley is one of the greenest and prettiest in Andalucia with itīs Olive, Lemon and Orange Groves. The beautiful turquoise Lakes of El Chorro and its stunning gorge is only a 40 minute drive away. All the coastal area from Nerja to Gibraltar is within easy reach by car. Or drive inland to places such as Ronda, Mijas, Antequerra. Visit the Water Parks at Torremolinos or Mijas, Fuengirola Zoo (which is open at night during the summer) or the Safari Park. Drive inland towards Antequerra and enjoy a night of wolf howling and a BBQ at the Wolf Park (highly recommended) Take the train into Malaga and enjoy the cafe culture or make a visit to the Picasso museum or just enjoy the beaches.
Alora area
Alora is a traditional white washed village or Pueblo with its narrow streets and steep hills. The Castle perched above the town looks wonderful at night when floodlit. Pizarra although not so pretty as Alora is very Spanish and has excellent bars and restaurants, no English type restaurants such as McDonalds!!!
How to get there
Fly to Malaga which is the closest approx 40 minute drive but Granada is also accessible being just over an hours drive. Many budget airlines fly to Malaga, Easyjet, Thomsons, Monarch, Flybe, Jet2 as well as BA

The apartment is the ground floor of our lovely villa. Whilst we are around you will not necessarily see much of us, but we are on hand should you encounter any problems or need advice on places to visit, restaurants etc. If you have children and fancy a night out on your own, then I am happy to discuss babysitting with you.

* Changeover days are flexible * Arrival and departure times are flexible * 25% deposit payable to confirm booking, balance to be paid on arrival * Refundable breakages deposit of 75 pounds is required on arrival. This will be refunded within 2 weeks of departure subject to no breakages * For stays longer than 1 week the apartment will be cleaned midway, should you require any further cleaning a charge of 30 Euros will be made
