The Andalucia region

A surprise to some, our countryside is both varied and beautiful. We are in one of the most interesting parts of southern Spain. With beautiful sunshine for most of the year, there really is no excuse not make the most of it.Surrounded by history,( with Cordoba, Seville and Granada all about an hour and a half away) and spectacular scenery there is plenty of choice for everyone.

Set between two villages, we have plenty of good shops and restaurants to choose from. Local dishes are well worth a try.

Alora is one of the famous "White Villages" of Andalucia- narrow streets hiding lots of places of interest crowned by a Moorish castle overlooking the valley below. There is always something going on with plenty of local fiestas to enjoy.

El Valle de Abdalajis is smaller than its larger neighbour, but just as interesting, nestling at the foot of the hills that surround the lakes.

Rock climbing, hill walking, horse riding, hang gliding, mountain biking are but a few of the activities on offer nearby as are photography, cookery and pottery classes. Nestling between two national parks, we have scenery you will need a camera for, try El Chorro, where "Von Ryans' Express was filmed, with its' deep gourge set in pine woods, the beautiful lakes and watch eagles soar in the skies above.
