Ruth's Stable is a delightful conversion that is based with two other cottages within Peigh Hills Farm. It has been lovingly furnished and decorated and is full of charm and character with many traditional features. The rooms are spacious and have the advantage of a conservatory from which you can look across the beautiful lake. Both bedrooms have en-suite facilities offering privacy to all guests and would provide perfect holiday accommodation for two couples sharing or a family. In one bedroom is an extra single bed which allows for up to five guests to sleep. Within Peigh Hills Farm, there are 75 acres of land which guests from these cottages are able to discover along with a pretty pond

Bedroom 1: With 6' bed  with en suite bathroom, shower over bath, W.C. and basin. Bedroom 2: With twin beds, plus single camp bed available (with bed linen available request on booking) with en suite bathroom, shower over bath, W.C. and basin.  

The property has oil fired central heating and comprises: Kitchen/dining area: with quarry tiles, electric oven and hob, microwave, combined fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Lounge: Tastefully furnished lounge with Digitial T.V. and video. Conservatory: Private conservatory accessed from the lounge and over looking the lake.

All fuel, power, bed linen and towels included. Cot available.

Northern England region

The northerly county of Northumberland is a hidden gem of totally unspoilt countryside and wonderful long stretches of pristine sandy beaches. If you want to stretch your legs and breathe in clean country air this is the place for you, with miles of wide open spaces and magnificent views. The county has three distinct sub regions; a coastline stretching some forty miles with quiet sandy beaches and pretty coastal harbour villages. Inland visitors will find dramatic rolling moorland and forests, much of which is National Park and to the south of the region is the famous Hadrian's Wall which runs coast to coast and is now a World Heritage Site. Apart from Northumberland's natural assets the county is steeped in history and has had a turbulent past which is characterised by more than its fair share of castles and ancient hill forts, some of which were built to repel Viking invaders. It was also the scene of the border wars and conflicts between the English and Scots in the 14th-16th century.

The area of Morpeth has a variety of attractions to see including a small shopping centre that is perfect for those who enjoy a little bit of retail therapy. Other places of interest include the Carlisle Park where there are a variety of different attractions for the whole family to enjoy such as a bowling green, skate park and beautiful gardens to explore. Whitehouse Farm Centre is a brilliant attraction for children with many different types of animals to look at, some of which you can hand feed. The farm also has a play area with Go-Karts, mazes and much more – There are plenty of things to do to keep the children entertained. For those who prefer to delve into history, there are a collection of places to visit including the Morpeth Chantry Bagpipe Museum, The Congregational Gallery where beautiful art work can be observed or the Brinkburn Priory which dates back to the 12th century. Stunning gardens and walks can be found within the area such as Thrunton Woods, Bide-A-Wee Cottage and Longframlington Gardens. Golfing and fishing are also popular in Morpeth offering fantastic facilities surrounded by some of the most breath taking scenery that Northumbria has to offer.
