Midwood Lodge and Cottage are luxurious accommodation, - "a hidden gem" set in a beautiful, quiet coastal village. The Lodge sleeps 5 and the Cottage sleeps 2. They are joined internally by a corridor which is locked unless the guests take both properties. The Lodge and Cottage are super for families, who wish to walk to the beach, or play in the huge garden and tree-house. The property has ample parking which is rare in Alnmouth, great for family parties or special events.
Alnmouth is a peaceful and unspoilt village by the sea on the Northumberland coastline. It has unspoilt beaches and is the ancient sea port for the historical town of Alnwick with its famous Alnwick Castle and The Alnwick Gardens.
Local sports and leisure activities include golfing, fishing, walking, birdwatching, sailing and cycling.

There is a beautiful tree house in the garden for children to play in. The garden is huge with a woodland setting. There is ample parking for up to 5 vehicles. Both properties have their own patio area for outside entertaining.

Northumberland is famous for the many stunning castles in the region, Alnwick Castle, Warkworth Castle, Bamburgh Castle, and Lindisfarne Castle are all within 5 - 10 miles of the cottage.
The region has stunning unspoilt beaches, including Alnmouth, Embleton, Newton by the Sea and many more. Within the village there is a golf course, there is fishing locally, cycle routes and walks for ramblers.
The property is a 5 minute walk to the beautiful unspoilt beach at Alnmouth and 2 minutes walk to lovely family friendly pubs and shops in the little village.
The Alnwick / Alnmouth area
Alnmouth is a peaceful and relaxing village by the sea on the Northumberland coastline. It has stunning, unspoilt beaches and is the ancient sea port for the historical town of Alnwick which is 4 miles away. The medieval castle in Alnwick was featured as 'Hogwarts' in the recent Harry Potter movies. Whilst Alnwick Gardens is one of the most exciting contemporary gardens in the world. The Northmberland Heritage Coastline has been designated an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' and offers fantastic coastal walking.
