About the home
Sefton House is a self catering property centrally located in the coastal village of Alnmouth in Northumberland. We have seven bedrooms ranging from singles to luxurious double's with en-suite, all have been furnished and decorated to an extremely high standard. Alnmouth is a small picturesque village with a variety of restaurants, pubs, coffee shops and gift shops. There are two golf courses, one a 9 hole links course with spectacular views over the golden sandy beach and the other an 18 hole championship course.
Our large, well equipped kitchen has all the modern comforts of home, with all the equipment you will need, including: range cooker & hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, microwave, tea & coffee facilities. The large living room has a stripped wooden floor, bay window, open fire, TV/DVD/Digibox, 3 large comfy sofas & a Nintendo Wii! The Dining room has an open fire & double doors to the patio area.
There are patios to front & rear, both with table & chairs with Estuary views to the front. There is also a wooden childrens play house in rear.

Within minutes of walking you can be on the quiet long golden sandy beach - perfect for a romantic picnic or stroll and is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle. A beautiful rural setting and plenty of bird watching opportunities along the sand dunes makes Almnouth beach one of the finest in Northumberland.
Conditions
20% deposit is required on booking & remainder outstanding is payable one month before arrival. Cardsand bank transfers are accepted!
Changeover day is usually on a Friday but flexible. Arrival time is 16:00 & departure by 10:00 - these times are also flexible. Contact owner for your specific requirements
The Northern England / Northumberland region
Alnmouth is a small picturesque coastal village situated between the market town of Alnwick and the quaint fishing port of Amble. In the very historical region of Northumberland!
The village itself has a variety of restaurants, pubs, coffee shops and gift shops dotted along the quiet high street. Visitors are welcome to visit The Friary of Saint Francis and are allowed to walk around the grounds close to the sea (Alnmouth is the most northerly friar community in England).
The Alnwick / Alnmouth area
The nearby town of Alnwick is a five minute drive away & is dominated by the medieval castle, home to the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland. The castle, open to the public, recently found fame as the setting for the Harry Potter movies. Also located here is The Alnwick Garden, a spectacular new garden within the castle grounds, and features water displays, a newly opened pavilion and the largest tree house in Europe. The garden is open every day of the year except Christmas day.
Also nearby and known as "The Friendliest Port", the town of Amble was built on a point of land that juts out, so providing extensive views of the coastline. Amble harbour is now shared by traditional fishing vessels and a modern Marina, full of colourful yachts. A mile or so up river is the imposing sight of Warkworth Castle and during the summer there are regular boat trips from the harbour to the RSPB bird sanctuary at Coquet Island.
Two golf courses are available in Alnmouth, the original golf course, which had 18-holes, was formed in 1869 and was designed by the famous golf professional Mungo Park (making it the second oldest course in England). At a later date it was split into two courses,
Alnmouth Village Golf Club, a fine nine-hole course adjacent to the beach, the view from the 7th is outstanding on this beautiful links course. Alnmouth Golf Club, a challenging 18-hole course with an excellent layout and panoramic views, the course being located at nearby Foxton Hall.

The nearest airport is Newcastle International Airport approx. 45 minutes drive away. Many airlines fly here, including budget airlines Easyjet, Ryan Air & Jet2!!
Alnmouth Train Station is a 10-15 minute walk through the village & is located on the main North Easten Line providing links to Newcastle, local towns such as Berwick & Morpeth & further afield such as Edinburgh & York and London.
There is also a good local network of local bus services, with a bus stop right at the top of the street.
North Shields Ferry Terminal is approximately 1hours drive away - linking the region to Europe via Amsterdam!
