Home description
Looking to enjoy a break with the Mediterranean at your doorstep?
Listen to the music of the ocean from a luxury latex bed or one of the dangerously comfortable leather lounge suites and let the worries of the recession disappear from your thoughts. Literally roll out of bed into the tepid waters of Cotobro Bay, enjoy breakfast on the terrace then lounge on the sun bed for the day or head off for a gastronomic adventure at one of the many great bars or restaurants, the majority of which offer you free tapas with your drinks (which need not contain alcohol to qualify for this incredible Andalucian tradition).
At 50sq metres, the apartment is ideal for a romantic weekend for two although has the space to accommodate a child, especially considering the huge ocean-front terrace-patio and the huge expanse of beach at your doorstep.
The apartment is in a small, somewhat exclusive bay called Cotobro, there are only 5 apartment buildings, one fantastic restaurant, one 4 star hotel and a number of swimming pool endowed mansions on the hill above in this bay. Walk for 5 minutes and you encounter your first tapas bar, keep walking and you eventually hit the chiriguitas dotted along the San Cristobel beach. There´s a bus from right outside the hotel if you want to go into the centre or you can walk to the market in about 25minutes...don´t forget your sun cream!

The Costa Tropical/Granada region
Lying in bright Andalusia, the Costa Tropical draws thousands of visitors each year. With its stunning geography, landmarks and picturesque villages, the Tropical Coast says it all with its name: a peaceful paradise in Europe.
The climate in the Costa Tropical is superb - the mild winds from the north of Africa and the warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea, along with the freshness provided by the nearby mountains in Sierra Nevada, create a unique microclimate within Europe. With more than 320 sunny days a year and an average temperature of 20 the Costa Tropical translates as a heavenly place. Its clear blue waters have been repeatedly awarded the exclusive eco-label Blue Flag, which confirms the high quality and cleanness of the Costa Tropical shoreline. Whilst its myriad of beaches draw thousands of Spanish and foreign visitors, this area does not suffer the problems affecting other regions. The tourism boom that took place in Spain during the 60 s and 70 s arrived late to the Costa Tropical and that is why it has successfully kept away from becoming a grey urbanized and tourist-stricken land mass like other parts of Spain. Authentic Spanish playa to the core.
Almunecar area
Founded by the ancient Phoenicians, Almuñécar is a town boasting an impressive heritage consisting of two Phoenician necropolises, Roman aqueduct vestiges, a Moorish castle and other important historic remains. Its magnificent buildings and its superb marina draw people from all over Europe, but the greatest appeal of this Costa Tropical resort is its striking shoreline: stress-free beaches and remote coves providing a relaxing place where to bask in the bright Andalusian sun or go for a refreshing swim in the marine blue waters of the Costa Tropical.
How to get there
