Home description
The house dates back to 1492 and has been painstakingly restored into an outstanding country residence easily able to accommodate up to 24 guests. The property is ideal for the larger family holiday with friends. It can also be an exclusive venue for that special wedding in our own private chapel with a reception al fresco afterwards in the Moorish gardens. It is also an ideal location for small business conferences and workshops or as a base for special interest groups (artists, yoga, clubs, film schools etc.).
The property comprises the mansion where most of the accommodation is located, a separate cottage with two twin bedrooms, spacious ornamental gardens, private chapel, tennis court, several large terraces, outside summer bar/eating area, 30ft spring fed swimming pool (heating optional for winter/autumn use), all surrounded by magnificent unspoilt views of the hillside and valley. The Costa Tropical/Granada region
The weather is this part of Spain is superb with over 300 days of sunshine per annum. The coastline in this area is rugged but with several attractive beaches and is perhaps the most stunning of the Spanish Mediterranean coast. The best tourist visit in Spain is the Alhambra which is world famous and gives the Taj Mahal a run for its money!
Almunecar / Otivar area
Palacete de Cazulas is located inland in the country which is great for walkers and artists. The house is 30 mins from the beach at Almunecar. The house is 1hr south from Granada one of the most beautiful cities in Spain and 1.5 hrs from a ski resort (The Sierra Nevada open Nov to Apr) where you are guaranteed a suntan not hypothermia! The golf course is approx 45 mins away and there are 5 others within 1 hrs drive.
As well as the property having its own tennis court there is also a Padel tennis court in town. Sea fishing, water sports and horse riding are within 30 mins. There is cascading , paragliding and canyoning available in the locality and festivals in Granada and Almunecar annually.
How to get there
Malaga is an international airport with flights coming in from charter carriers such as Easyjet and Monarch. There are also charter flights going in to Granada airport which is 1 hr 15 mins from Cazulas. Charterers such as Ryan Air, Vueling etc. There are many hire car companies operating from both airports so best advice is to check on rates through the internet. List of car hire companies available on request.

The ornamental Moorish gardens have been laboriously restored to their former glory offering guests the opportunity to wander or relax in total peace and tranquility. Surrounded by centuries old palm trees, shady borders and colourful exotic plants. Ancient cypress hedges border an attractive swimming pool that is fed by a natural spring.
Optional pool heating is now available by separate arrangement (usually only necessary from November through to April).
Hard surface tennis court is located adjacent to the summer bar and terrace.
There are several large terraces available. The main terrace with magnificent views over the valley and the villge of Otivar has a seating capacity of up to 110 persons and is used as the main wedding reception dining area or as a superb sun bathing area .
Check with owner about exact wheelchair accessibility (ramps can be put in where necessary as it is a very old building).

Unless the whole property is rented, the Courtyard Cottage is only available when the main house is full.
Rentals are quoted on a self-catering basis and prices do not include cooking or extra maid services.

Bookings can only be confirmed after we have recieved a 25% deposit.
Full terms and conditions on how to make payment, what we require as a breakage deposit and our cancellation policy will be provided when we reply to your enquiry.
Electricity supply to heat swimming pool(November to May): by arrangement
The management reserves the right to charge a supplementary cleaning fee (deductable from the breakage deposit) if the property is left other than which it was found on arrival.
