The Costa Tropical/Granada region
The costa Tropical is a scenic region of the Costa del Sol, now with its coastal towns and villages largely developed for tourism, although still retaining their historic centres, typically with pedestrian streets, plazas, surrounding a castle.
There are many fine beaches and enclosed bays , and much infrastructure for tourism.. .golf courses, waterpsorts and sailing, and many restaurants, bars, and places of interest to visit.
Almunecar / Cotobro area
Almunecar is a thriving tourist town , largely devoted to catering for its summer and off season visitors. It is centred around a castle set on a crag, overlooking the old town on whose periphery have sprung up many new buildings, apartments and villas, for seasonal and long term visitors.
There are miles of beaches, very many bars, restaurants, historic sites to visit, excursions to be made ( along the coast, or inland, to historic Granada, the ski resort of the Sierra Nevada, or the mountains of the Alpujarra).
How to get there
Almunecar is 80 km from Malaga airport, and the same distance from Granada airport. There is also a bus station, with good and regular sevice along the coast and inland.

Further details indoors: The apartment building is directly on the sea front, the road in front of it bordering the sea, and not carrying a lot of traffic, although there is a bus service in the summer. Parking is possible in front of the building. Good beaches are minutes walk away, as are shops, bars, restaurants, and the town centre is 1km distant. There are two lifts in the building, and a large swimming pool for the use of residents.
