The Costa Tropical/Granada region
Nerja is just 15 mins away with its amazing caves, stunning scenery and, for those who love a bargain, a large car boot sale every Sunday morning. The beautiful historic city of Granada with the famous Alhambra Palace is only 45 mins away, well worth a visit. Granada has great shops.
The Alpujarras, (Lanjaron, Orgiva) a series of mountain villages, it seems time has stopped here, also great for walks. The national parks of Sierra Nevadas, Peña Escrita, Cerro Gordo and Lecrin Valley are all close by. The Sierra Nevada, Europe's most southerly ski resort Sol y Nieve in the Sierra Nevada Mountains is 60 minutes drive from Almunecar. For many months of the year you can ski and swim in the Med on the same day. With easy parking and lots of restaurants it is a good day out for all the family even if you don't ski.

Have you ever wanted to experience "the real Spain"? The house is situated in the heart of Almunecar's historic old town. Almunecar is a working Spanish town and in the high season only attracts Spanish tourists. The old town is where the locals live adding a flavour and vibrancy which is not available in purpose built areas. The house was completely re-designed and is the largest and has the most unusual interior of the whole area. If you are looking for Spain then here it is!
Almunecar is a beautiful old working Spanish town. Every bar offers free tapas in the true Granada style. A 2 minute walk from the house you will find La Coralla where the locals drink which has the best tapas in the whole area and live flamenco on a Wednesday and Friday nights. The local municipal market (which is a joy to behold) is a five minute walk along with all other amenities, restaurants and the beach. Once at the house you will only ever need a car to leave Almunecar.

Originally purchased as 3 apartments the house was completely gutted and re-designed. The kitchen/dining area is 50 square metres alone and the whole house is 200 square metres. All of the rooms have been designed for maximum light and airy quality. This is truly a unique property.
