The Vegamar 1 apartments are located on the edge of the traditional market town of Almoradi. The apartment consists of 2 bedrooms 1x double and 1x twin with a double sofa bed in the living area -lounge/dining room, kitchen, full bathroom - with bath and shower over, separate shower room and balcony. There is a communal swimming pool with separate children's pool. The apartment is located on the ground floor so ideal for families, the elderly or anyone that does not want to have to keep going up and down in the lift or use the stairs.
The apartments are situated just a short walk from the shops, restaurants and town square of Almoradi and offers a taste of the real Spain. Close by is the coastal town of Guardamar with its beautiful sandy beaches (10-15 min drive), the larger coastal town of Torrevieja (20 min drive), and within easy reach of many golf courses including the La Finca Algorfa Golf Club less than a 10 minute drive away.
Almoradi offers excellent amenities and yet it is full of tradition and culture. The architecturally imposing Church of San Andrés and the renowned huge Saturday market make this town the perfect place to experience the traditional Spain.

Other facilities include, a travel cot, selection of books to read or swap, large selection of English DVDs including films suitable for young children, children's/family games, English satellite TV including BBC & ITV channels plus many more, and a TV set up for watching DVDs in the master bedroom. As well as the main air conditioning & heating there are also portable fans and a halogen heater. If required highchairs and other baby/young child requirements can be hired locally. All bedding provided and towels for use in the apartment - towels for the beach/pool are NOT provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with all that is needed for 6 people including crockery, cutlery, glasses and utensils, microwave, sandwich toaster, fridge and freezer etc.

The balcony of the apartment is East by South East facing so is great place to enjoy a relaxed breakfast. The front door of the apartment leads out to the communal terraced area and swimming pool, and there is also access to the communal sun terrace on the roof of the apartment block.
Free Parking in the street next to the apartments, always space even at peak season.
If required a small amount of essential groceries can be provided ready for your arrival. This may include water, tea, coffee, milk wine, soft drinks bread etc, this will be payable upon your arrival to our local key holder, please ask for details.
The towels provided are for use in the apartment only, we ask that you bring your own beach/pool towels please.

The Valenciana region
Few sun worshippers escape the beaches and bars but the ones that do are in for a treat if they head into the stunning interior. Here you'll find one of Spain's great-undiscovered gems, an area growing in popularity with walkers, cyclists, birdwatchers and nature lovers in general.
The town of Almoradi is located on the northern side of the Segura River, on the southern Costa Blanca. It is only a 10-15 minutes drive from the beautiful sandy beaches of Guardamar and 20 minutes drive from the coastal town of Torrevieja. Almoradi is a well-established typical Spanish town, with a good selection of shops, restaurants, cafés, bars & other facilities in place. Ther is now a small 10 pin bowling alley with bar just 5 minutes from the apartment - EVERY WEDNESDAY ITS HALF PRICE
It has to be said Almoradi does offer something a little different from that of many of the coastal towns; it is quieter, & has retained much of its inherent culture & tradition, giving you a taste of the real Spain.

There are many fiestas (festivals) throughout Almoradi's calendar, some of which are a real spectacle & well worth a look. The cuisine is another major bonus where you can find traditional Spanish restaurants as well as a good selection of international including Indian and Chinese.
Almoradi is also well known for its mild climate & the entire region enjoys sunshine for in excess of 320 days per year. The sun is at its hottest during the summer months, with temperatures rarely falling below 30°C (86°F). Winters are typically very mild with averages hovering around 18°C (64°F).
This area of Spain is also famous for its salt lakes (salt is a major export). This has a major knock on effect on humidity levels, & as a result the air is much dryer than in other parts of Spain & Europe. The low humidity levels coupled with a mild climate, means the WHO (World Health Organisation) have rated this part of Spain one of the healthiest climates on the planet.
Other activities in or close to Almoradi include: Horse riding, water sports, water parks, hiking and walking, and even ten pin bowling and go-cart racing.
There is a large local market once a week, which is well worth a visit, it’s a traditional market that the locals use, not just a tourist market selling cheap T. shirts and copy sunglasses. Almoradi's traditional Saturday market is a market not to be missed. This is the place to pick up your locally grown fruit and vegetables plus many other products such as clothing, bags, fabric, shoes and household goods from the 350 individual stalls located in the roads bordering the town square.

"brilliant apartment.....lovely complex.....recommend."
lovely apartment would recommend, location is good and almoradi is a lovely little spanish town, would recommend going during festival weekend usually end of july had a fantastic time.
