The property is located within a 5 minute walk of Almoradi town, where there are many Bars, Restaurants, and Shops. The beautiful Town Square has a typical Spanish High Church, and is surronded by trees,and has a new water feature. It is a wonderful place to relax and watch the world go by.
Every Saturday there is a Market, which many locals frequent, selling wonderful fresh produce as well as the usual clothes, leather goods etc
This area is well known for its fiesta's and the Moors & Christians fiesta in July/August is a sight not to be missed with week long festivities. There are many other fiesta's within the region, most of the summer weeks.
Within a 15 min drive are beautiful golden beaches, which are easlily accessible by local buses or taxis.
For the Golf enthusiast, many courses are within easy reach, including La Finca, Villa Martin and La Manga.
Nearby are thebeach promenades of Torrevieja where you can walk along the coastline, stopping at the cafes along the way. There is a bustling nightlife here, with many clubs & bars.There is also a new Marina, and a variety of shops. There is a great day out at the Aqua Park which caters for all ages.
Other tripsin the area, are the Safari Park at Elche, where you can swim with the dolphins, and for the ultimate lively day out, Benidorm is a 90 minute drive away, where you can enjoy a drink at the Sol Pelicanos Hotel (home of the Benidorm TV show) and have night out at the Benidorm Palace.Local companies run a day coach for 10e, and also offer evenings out to the Benidorm Palace where you can enjoy a meal and a spectacular show.

The Costa Blanca/Valencia region
The town of Almoradi, is within the Vega Baja region of Spain, renowned for its orange and lemon groves, and wonderful climate. It has been recognised by the World Health Organisation as the 4th most benefical in the world, due to its mild climate all year round. The average summer temperatures are in excess of 30 degrees and the average winter temperature, rarely falls below 18 degrees.thus helping to alleviate symptoms such as rhuematisim and athritis.
The salt lakes within the area,that are often pink in colour, are classed as preservation areas for an abundance of bird species. Including flamingos, these feed at the Santa Pola lakes and are a sight to behold.
The area boasts over 100km of Coastline, with Golden sandy beaches, Deep blue seas,and Palm trees,
The historic town of Santa Pola is a 35 min drive away, this has excellent beaches, an old town with its ancient castle walls. From here you can take boat trips to the Island the Tabarca, enjoy a first class meal, or take a glass bottom boat trip to view the sealife.
Almoradi Town is a 5 minute walk from the property, it has a traditional square and a beautiful Spanish Church, and is famed for its polo trees which surrond the pavements. Almoradi is particularly known for its Saturday market, which has fresh produce as well as a wealth of goods like handbags, shoes, leather goods etc. There are also many shops, restaurants, banks bars and cafes, which are wonderful to sit alfresco, and while a way the time in the sun. During the summer months there is often free entertainment in the square, including an open air cinemea. Festivals are abundant within this area, with the Moors and Christian festival being one of the major highlights of the year. Street battles rage during the day, and concerts and plays take place in the evening.
The Easter Parade should not be missed and is a very moving event.
Xmas Parade of the 3 kings takes place on the 6th January, with presents in the square given for the young children afterwards.
Amongst the leisure facitlitesis a 10 pin bowling alley. a short walk from the apartment.
The town on Quesada is a 5 min drive away, this is mostly used by expats, and has a wonderful fish and chip shop. There is also a small waterpark here which is especially suitable for the younger child.
