About the home

Perfectly situated to gain the sun from morning to dusk,this apartment caters fully for a relaxing holiday.

Fully equipped with every essential to make your time there memorable,it has a full kitchen, a full bathroom and a smaller bathroom with wc and hand basin.

The two bedrooms have air conditioning and both have two comfortable single beds, built in wardrobes and bedside tables.The rear bedroom has patio doors leading to the terrace.


Through patio doors in the lounge,you can walk onto the large terrace which has table and chairs, sun loungers and side tables. There is also a fully retractable sun canopy.
The views from the terrace are the best in Almerimar ,giving you a panoramic view of the 27 hole golf course,port and marinas and of course the Med and the Sierra Nevada mountains.

The lounge area has a sofa which converts into a double bed, several comfortable chairs,a dining table and chairs,storage unit,TV with DVD player, Satellite English TV channels,CD player and radio.

The apartment is light and airy and the large terrace is perfect for family socialising. The floors are marble and cool during the summer.

The apartment is very secure having one way in and out with a multi-lock door. This is not just a holiday complex as a good portion of the apartments are residential which gives a much calmer atmosphere than a lot of holiday lets.

The huge pool is open from mid June to mid September with a lifeguard and there is a grassed area with parasols for relaxing and sunbathing.

All linen and towels provided except beach towels.

Its a short stroll to the pool which is shared by the residents of La Ladera del Golf but rarely gets crowded.
The large pool is set in a pleasant garden area and has its own attendant.There is also a small child's pool together with a play area, tennis court, basketball nets, table tennis and football court.

By car you can be in Almerimar and by the sea in a few minutes,by foot it is a pleasant walk of some 15 minutes depending on the rush.

There are several shops,bars and restaurants in Almerimar that will cater for all of your needs but it still retains a ' village type feel.

The Costa de Almeria region

Costa Almeria has long been the forgotten part of Spain but is now becoming a favourite 'secret' for discerning holidaymakers. It has so far escaped being over commercialised and retains a traditional feel. Being the southern most part of Spain, the climate is mostly warm.The summer temperatures can reach 40.c degrees and during the winter temperatures rarely drop below 15.c during the day.

The days are clear and sunny with a gentle breeze by the coast. There are many places of interest. Our apartment has a folder with brochures on what to do and where to go.

The Sierra Nevada mountains are close by with their varied landscapes and pretty villages.

The Almerimar / Ladera del Golf area

Almerimar was a fishing village and still retains that feeling although now it boasts three marinas where boats of all shapes and sizes moor and the visitor can amble along the quayside,stop for a drink and take in the colours and the bustling atmosphere of the port.

Many shops and restaurants/bars have opened around the marinas to add to the choice when it comes to eating and drinking.

There are Spanish tapas bars, Chinese restaurants, Irish bars and many other good quality eating establishments.
When ordering a drink and you will be asked if you want tapas...you will be pleased to know that these tapas are invariably free of charge and that this local custom is alive and well in Almerimar!

The beaches are well looked after and run for some 13km. The beach areas around Almerimar have cafes with sunbeds and parasols.....the cushions on the sunbeds are about 3" thick and particularly comfortable.

Along the front with the traditional bars are the few disco bars which open during the evening and go through the night. These are not invasive or anything like you imagine on the Costas, just local entertainment.
They are grouped together so its easy to walk from one to another. There's no entry charge and the atmosphere is great as the evening turns to night and they are far enough away not to cause any noise problem when you get back to the apartment.

Regarding places to visit, there are many including the shopping arcades at Copo and Gran Plaza in Roquetas.

The Sierra Nevada mountains are visible from the apartment and in winter you could be up there skiing within a couple of hours.

The town of El Ejido is five minutes drive away and is a typical Spanish town. In summer there are concerts held at the football stadium that attracts huge stars... we saw The Rolling Stones play a concert there which was fantastic.

The Cowboy filmsets in the mountains are only a short drive away and the water park in Roquetas is great. Almeria city is worth a visit with it's fabulous architecture and mini 'Alhambra' castle. The Gabo de Gata is well worth a visit too and the local nature reserves are well known for the Flamingos.........you will be spoilt for choice.

Fly direct into Almeria airport from Birmingham and other UK airports. Cheap flights available on Monarch,Fly.be and My Travel.

Apartment. 40 minutes from Almeria.

Fly also into Malaga,Alicante and Murcia but this involves a 2 to 3 hour journey.
