It can be accessed via stairs or lift from the secure private undergound car park. The apartment is part of the Porto Fino residence which has been designed, built and furnished to a high standard giving a comfortable, light and modern feel.
The south facing terrace has a commanding view over the swimming pool and the property is located just 2 minutes walk away from one of the blue flag beaches, yachting marina and a host of bars, restaurants and shops.
Right across the road is the top class golf course designed by Gary Player consisting of a 18 hole master course and a easier 9 hole classic course.

The Costa de Almeria region
Almeria is becoming more and more well known with tourists. It is one of the most charming and unspoilt areas in South Eastern Spain. From Adra through to Mojacar the Andalucian coastline is made up of excellent rustic beaches, rocky coves, popular holiday resorts and pretty fishing towns.
Costa Almeria enjoys the sunniest and warmest climate in the whole of Europe. This is the real Spain with the highest hours of sunshine and lowest rainfall. The provience benefits from the natural protection of the mountain range of the Sierra De Gador, resulting in Almeria being one of the most productive agricultural zones in Europe.
Handily placed between the Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca, Almeria provides easy access to some of Spain's most popular resorts. Sight seeing in Almeria is a must. The Alcazaba is a Moorish fortress which is part ruins but provides great examples of towers, baths and dungeons from its medieval past. The highest point provides great panoramic views of the city's cave quarter.
Almeria Cathederal is a grand 16th century building built in place of the former Cathedral that was destroyed in a great earthquake. It is beautiful in its Gothic-renaissance style and has a fortress like apperanace after suffering pirate raids. The great altar is home to some priceless artworks and features magnificent decorations of marble and jasper.
Almeria has many museums and art galleries including the Morera Art Museum and Provincial Archeological Museum. The Archeological Museum has many Bronze Age exhibits, Iberian and Roman ceramics, statues and epigraphy. It also houses an intriguing collection of archeological remains from Almerias's history.
The Old Town of Almerimar is also well worth a visit to sample traditional Spanish life amongst white washed houses, narrow winding streets, medieval architecture and a quiet and peaceful atmosphere.
Almeria is also the location of many natural sights of interest and beauty. The Cuevas de Sorbas are highly interesting, spacious caves with amazing rock formations. Tours are available through the caves and you can even clip on a harness and go searching for hidden caverns and treasures. The Cabo de Gata National Park is a must see as it is Andulucia's largest coastal protected area of great beauty and ecological wealth. The area has many plants and wildlife as well as fantastic beaches with clear seas that are perfect for diving and snorkeling.
Further a field, only 16 miles from the centre of Almeria is the Tabernas Desert. Famous for being the film location for many Spagetti Westerns. This vast area is Europe's onky semi desert and its canyons and rocky landscape make for an intriguing place to visit.
Almerimar / Portofino Complex area
Almerimar is an oasis in the driest part of Spain. Almerimar has a wide range of activities:
GOLF - The mature championship golf course surrounded by beautiful landscapes gardens with several holes featuring water. The most challenging being two island green holes on the 14th and 18th, giving a tee shot over 100 meters of water. It offers plenty of challenges for the more experienced golfer and will test your golfing skills to the full.
BEACHES - Miles of BLUE FLAG beaches stretch East and West of the marina. It slopes gently into the sea. The beaches are well cared for, cleaned every day and lifeguards are on duty during the high season. There are ample fresh water showers and toilets. Many sports are available on the beaches including windsurfing, kite-surfing, hang-gliding, beach volleyball, football, pedal boats and jet skis. The beach area is also well equipped with beach bars.
GO KARTING - There are 2 tracks available, the nearest is behind the COPO shopping complex near the E15/N340 motorway junction, the other is in Roquetas De Mar, they are 2 of the best equipped state of the art technology kart racing circuits in Europe. Here kart lovers will find professional and beginner separated tracks, training room, coffee bar, spacious changing rooms, race wears, spare part shop and much more.
SHOPPING - There is an excellent Mercadona supermarket over from the apartment, along with banks, gift shops and medical facilities. Up near the E15/N340 motorway junction is the COPO Commercial Centre which is a very large shopping complex, housing amongst other things, McDonalds, multi screen cinema, tourist information centre and the Go Kart circuit mentioned earlier. Just across the road from the COPO centre is a new modern hospital.
MARKETS - there are many markets around the Almerimar area, these have a good selection of clothes, leather goods, footwear, food, ceramics and pictures. Most of these start at 1000 & finish around 1400, they are open every week except for the last Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday of each month. WATER PARK - Mario Park at Roquetas De Mar is a great day out for the whole family, open from 1100 to 1900.
OASYS ( MINI HOLLYWOOD) - At the nearby Tabernas desert you can visit the mini Hollywood which was used as the location for the filming of many spaghetti western movies, A Fistful of Dollars being one. Many of the film sets have been preserved & are open to visitors.
SKIING/SNOWBOARDING - The apartment is just 2 hours away from the great “Sky Station” ski village resort near Granada in the Sierra Nevada range, reached through breath-taking scenery on top class mountain motorways. The ski resort has ski runs going up to 3,300 meters altitude and a very attractive ski village with ample high quality accommodation at reasonable prices if you fancy staying over for a couple of nights. In the winter and the spring, one day skiing excursions are quite practical and excellent fun.
How to get there
Almeria airport is only a 30 minute drive (40Kms / 25 miles) to the apartments. Regular flights from the UK leave from Birmingham, Cardiff, Dublin, East Midlands, Gatwick, Leeds, Luton, Manchester, & Stansted. The main airlines used are BMIbaby, Easyjet, Jet2, Monarch & Ryanair. Malaga Airport is also an option, this entails a lovely scenic coastal journey of around 2 hours taking in the breathtaking scenery and blue Mediterranen sea on the way. Spanish visitors can fly in from most Spanish main airports via Spanair & Iberia.

Further details indoors: The apartment comprises of a spacious living room with double patio doors leading to a large balcony overlooking the main pool, there are further patio doors leading to a small balcony on the side of the lounge. The corner chaise sofa easily converts to an additional double bed if required. Dining area is suitable for 6 people. Large kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, cooker, toaster, microwave and opens out onto the terrace. Utility area houses a sink and a washing machine. Porto Fino caters for a local community of permanaent residents as well as a selection of private holiday lets, so you can be assured of a restful location which is constantly maintained to the highest standard.

Excellent facilities are right on the doorstep. The apartment is located adjacent to the marina. A stones throw away from the beaches. Guestbook for Superb 2 Bedroomed
We stayed in this 2 bedroomed apartment in March 09, it is fantastic value, in a central position for all the amenities, supermarket, bars & restaurants, beach all just a very short walk away. The sun was shinning throughout and on those days that we did not go exploring we just sat on the large terrace sun bathing.
