About the home

A second floor south facing apartment. 2 bedrooms (sleeps 4), kitchen, lounge/dining area, bathroom, balcony with magnificent views of the swimming pools. Lounge area - L shaped sofa, dining table for 4 (table can be extended), air-conditioning in all rooms, TV satellite system with European channels, Micro music centre with radio/CD/cassette.

Internet Wi-Fi is available in the apartment.

Master bedroom with double bed & patio doors to a Julian balcony. Second bedroom with 2 single beds. Bedrooms have large fitted wardrobes with enclosed 4 drawer units. Kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave, cooking utensils, cutlery & tableware for 4. Family bathroom with toilet, bath, bidet, shower & under sink unit for personal items. Balcony - patio table & 4 chairs.

Tennis racquets and table tennis bats and balls are available in the apartment for you to borrow during your stay. There are also beach mats, beach chairs and sun loungers available for your use.

Shower caps are needed when using the jacuzzi.

The Costa de Almeria region

Almerimar is situated 40 km west of Almería and 160 km east of Malaga. It is one of the few resorts in Europe where the rainfall is scarce.

The Almerimar / Laguna Beach, Almerimar area

A few kilometres south east of Almerimar is a 15 km strip of protected coastline, the Punta Entinas-Sabinar Natural Area and Reserve. This is a wildlife haven and even in the height of summer the beach is
often deserted and its isolation makes it an ideal spot for bird watching.

The 1,960 hectare natural area is made up of sand dunes, beach and the raised beach of Los Alcores, immediately north of Punta Entinas. The dunes are interspersed with a series of freshwater and saline lakes. The area is declared a special protected zone for birds— more than 150 species have been recorded in this wetland part of the area, including waders, flamingos and the rare Audouin's gull.

In the area of Almerimar, there is horse riding, golf and fishing all a short drive from Laguna Beach resort.

In Roquetas there is a shopping centre, an outdoor market, bars and restaurants, beautiful beaches, and a water park . This is about a 30 minute drive away.

Monarch, Ryanair, Easyjet, BMI Baby & Jet2 fly into Almeria Airport - 60 kms away. They and other low cost operators also fly to Alicante, Malaga, Murcia and Granada airports which are between 180 and 300 kms away.

“The apartment is much better than photos!” When we entered the apartment, the first reaction of us was WOW! IT IS MUCH BEAUTIFUL THAN THE SHOWN PHOTOS! We stayed there for 4 weeks in December and January and enjoyed the sunshine everyday. The weather was nice and warm enough to sit and dine on the lovely balcony even in some evenings. The apartment with its facilities is sufficient for a stay as long as one likes. It's also suitable for people with restricted mobility and children. You will receive what ever they offer in the webpage, and more over all the care which the landlady provides for the guests. You may find out that Christine is not considering it as a business. She just does it with a lot of sympathy. The sympathy of sharing good things with others. Thank you Christine.
