The lovingly maintained family run Gianna Apartment is a perfect contract to the heat and bustle of the seafront. Tucked back 100m from the beach, facing out towards the hillsides and panoramic mountains beyond, Gianna has its own attractive freeform pool set in sun terraces with loungers and parasols. There is also a children's area and barbecue. Just a minutes walk takes you back to the seafront of Almirida where you will find a good selection of shops and tavernas and of course the beach.

The Crete region
Almirida used to be a quaint little fishing village, over the years it has developed into a beautiful resort boasting a fantastic sandy beach, excellent tavernas offering local dishes and reasonable prices. A great resort to relax and chill and experience the real Crete.
Almerida area
There is a great excursion offered called the 'Sea Caves', the trip costs roughly in the region of 20 euro's per person and last approximately 2 hours. If you are hiring a car there are plenty of coastal resorts which are very private with beautiful small beaches. Of a nightime visit Plaka, it is just a five minute drive from Almirida, a picturesque town with excellent Tavernas.

Flights into Chania include: Thomson, Monarch, Kiss Flights, Thomas Cook. NB Transfer time from Chania airport is approximately 35 minutes.
Flights into Heraklion include: Thomson, Monarch, Kiss Flights, Thomas Cook, Easyjet. NB Heraklion is about 1.5hours transfer time to Almirida.
