Villa Iannis could not be any nearer to the Beaches, Shops and Tavernas which line the waterfront at Almirida Bay.
Villa Iannis is unique in its design – the bedrooms are on the lower floors (for coolness in the Summer) and the Living/Dining and cooking area on the top floor. The villa is quiet and secluded and makes an ideal retreat for that getaway holiday and yet it is so near to village life!
This Villa will sleep up to 8 persons. On the lower level there is a large double bedroom (complete with full en-suite facilities) in addition to which there is a pair of bunk beds for additional sleeping.

The Crete region
Situated in the Crete region of Greece, Chania has for many years now been a top tourist destination and is known for many things including the Venetian Harbour, the old port, its narrow shopping streets and waterfront restaurants.
The Harbour area attracts the most visitors and is home to old buildings, museums, churches and crafts shops all of which give great insights as to the culture and history of Chania. The area has a wide range of restaurants, bars and Cafes to choose from allowing holidaymakers to sample the local cuisine combined with the culture and character of Cretan people and traditions.
Almerida area
A wide range of shops are also available providing a good selection for shopping lovers to choose from whilst those wanting a greater insight into the culture of the region can visit the many museums that are present in the area including the Naval Museum, archaeological museum & Historical Archives whilst holidaymakers can see some of the old buildings - of Venetian and Turkish design which are in many parts of the area.
How to get there
There are 2 airports, Chania and Haraklion. Chania is about a 45 minute drive and Haraklion about 1.45. Haraklion, although further, is a very easy (and stunning) drive.
Easyjet now fly to Haraklion from Gatwick and many other airlines fly to Crete such as First Choice.
Hiring a car is simple in Crete with many good value car hire companies working from both airports. We tend to use Autoclub. Ask for June and mention the villa you are staying in and they may offer a discount.

Further details indoors: On the ground floor there is another double bedroom, fully equipped bathroom with bath and a large sized walk in shower, hand basin and WC.
On the First Floor you will find a large lounge and dining room plus a large terrace overlooking Souda Bay to the front and the White Mountains to the side. On this First Floor there is a fully fitted Kitchen with fridge/freezer and washing machine. In the Lounge/Dining area there are 2 full sized futon beds which will comfortably sleep two more persons.
The villa is fully air conditioned and heated for the winter.
Further details outdoors: Walking up the slight hill at the eastern end of the seafront at Almirida you arrive at the end of the ‘village plan’ but the start of the Olive Groves.
Down a short road in the direction of Vassillis and you arrive at Villa Iannis. So unusual in its design and surrounded by large gardens and a swimming pool, Villa Iannis is approximately a 5 minute walk from the Seafront at Almirida with its colourful Tavernas, Shops and Bars.

All services and the use of air conditioning and other equipment (as advertised) is included in the weekly rental rates shown on this web site.
Children are most welcome in all our properties and we provide a free High Chair and Cot loan service but, we do ask that Children are supervised at all times whilst around and in the Swimming Pool.
We do ask that Reservations are made at least 2 weeks in advance to avoid disappointment. As with all our Villas, a discount is available for stays longer than two weeks.
All prices shown are for the Villa and not per person. As with all our Villas on the Island, we can arrange Car Hire through reputable companies. We also offer Airport Transport service.
