Villa | 4 bedrooms | sleeps 8
This private villa is in a mature area, in a close with only a few properties making is very peaceful. The private garden has been well mainted, and boasts a stunning swimming pool, with large terrace , ideal for relaxing and enjoying the Algarve sun. The built in barbecue, with shaded dining area, means you can enjoy the whole day and evening outside if you wish. The villa was renovated and refurnished in 2013 giving a high standard of modern accommodation. The situation is perfect for a quiet holiday sitting around the pool and garden yet in the vicinity are fabulous beeches and golf courses for the more active. Horse riding is also nearby. It lies in the "Golden Triangle" between Loule and Almancil where every kind of shop and restaurant can be found. It is strongly advised that residents have a car for transport in the area but also to enable trips to the many beautiful and historic places in the Algarve. Even Seville in Spain is possible as a day trip.

"What a wonderful experience"
I was nervous about booking this villa, because there appeared to be so few reviews. I need not have worried. The entire experience with Lisa, from beginning to end, was professional, courteous and responsive. The lack of reviews was due to the villa being refurbished and unavailable!
The villa itself is lovely. This is our sixth villa in the Algarve and by far the best. One of the things that really impressed me was the fact that there were things like washing up liquid, foil, cling film, charcoal and laundry tablets already there. We were grateful for them and so ensured that the next renters also had a good start, by leaving a few more things!
The kitchen is well stocked with things like garlic presses and a blender, even a juicer. A really nice touch was finding an insulated cool bag with freezer blocks already frozen in the freezer. We left behind a wine bottle vacuum sealer for those occasional left over half bottles of wine! The added bonus of an additional fridge freezer near the barbecue, meant that we could have a drinks fridge and keep the internal one for food. The large amount of freezer space meant that we could shop for several days at a time and still have fresh bread and meat every day.
The villa is beautifully clean and has a feeling of space and light, whilst at the same time being cool inside because of the big sliding windows, that created a cooling through breeze.
One of the things that we did enjoy was having everything on the level, because there were several arthritic knees in the party! Although we have rented single storey villas before, they often come with internal steps, not this one.
The pool photograph gives the impression of there being little shade, but there was always plenty available, so sunburn was not a problem. There is even a little crazy golf course behind the pool, complete with balls and putters- great fun in the evenings - a bit hot in the day though!
The bedrooms are really well furnished with good quality chests of drawers and the best bit of all was the fact that the pillows smelt lovely and fresh - I detest smelly pillows.
I would say that a car is essential, because although it is not 'remote', you would miss out on a lot. Vilamoura Marina is a lovely place to walk around day or night, with some great restaurants behind the marina.
Loule is only a couple of miles away and is well worth a visit. The market, places for coffee and loads of restaurants. It also has four really good supermarkets.
Any downsides- none and if you had ANY idea how critical my holiday party can be you would realise that is an amazing statement.
I suppose that the best part was having Lisa. She met us at the villa, was always quick to respond to any queries via email and came to the villa at the end to pick up the keys and to check that we had been happy with everything, even though we had an early flight. I would say that if there is anything amiss when you stay, contact her and it will be sorted. We had a leaky solar panel connection, it was fixed in 24 hours, very impressive!
Thank you Lisa and the owners. We have booked for next year already - now that is a first for us, in 30 years of family holidays!
We are very happy that you had such a wonderful stay, and are very much looking forward to seeing you again next year.
It is very important to us that you have everything you need, and feel that you have someone you can contact while you are here.

Thank you for your review. This helps other people understand the villa better. We have now added a fan to the two twin bedrooms that do not have air conditioning. The Villa is between Loulé and Almancil, which is not too far away from Albufeira. Thank you again
