The villa is located in a Estate of 8 recently constructed holiday villas. The villa adjoins communal gardens, sun terrace and large swimming pool in a complex which is gated and fenced thereby allowing children to roam and play in safety. The villa itself has a private rear garden with outdoor dining and gas barbeque as well private terrace for sun bathing.
The villas are all designed externally in the local Portuguese style but internally are modern in facilities. The villa is clean, comfortable and homely. It has a large lounge with a wall mounted flat screen TV wired to the free to air satellite service. Wireless broadband runs throughout the villa. The lounge has an internal dining table and six chairs and gives access out to the private outdoor dining area with a table and 10 chairs. This area is shaded by a retractable electronic awning.
Modern fully equipped contemporary kitchen with granite work tops and all facilities. Breakfast table and two stools. You will be tempted to cook in this kitchen, despite the gas barbeque outdoors and so many local restaurants and delivery services!
Double bedroom and full bathroom located on the ground floor. Also a storage room which includes a coded security safe. Villa is fully alarmed.
Two bedrooms and two bathrooms en suite upstairs. The master bedroom has a wall mounted flat screen TV wired to Free to Air on separate channel selection from downstairs.There is a large outdoor terrace upstairs with two sun loungers and a table and chairs and shade. The terrace faces westwards across the Pool area and over the attractive countryside for watching the setting sun with a glass of wine!
The Villa Manager is based nearby in Almancil and will respond quickly to requests to iron out any problems which may occur.
There are white towels in the 3 bathrooms, which are changed twice weekly and are for use within the villa. There are also colored beach towels which can be used out at the pool or beach thus saving you filling up your suitcase with towels!

There is a private garden to the rear with outdoor dining area beneath a retractable awning and an upper floor terrace for private sun bathing. The villa adjoins the large communal pool which is surrounded by extensive sun terraces. The communal gardens and play areas are surrounded by fencing to provide a safe play area for children. The facilities are available to the occupiers of the 5 houses. The facilities are large enough to accommodate usage by all 5 villas but practice in previous years show that no more than 2 or 3 are occupied at any one time. It is possible to have as little or as much interaction with other occupants as desired.
We can arrange car rental for you, either from the airport or delivered to the villa. If at the villa, we will organise a minibus to bring you and your luggage from the airport to the villa.
Rates include a weekly clean, linen change once a week, towel change twice a week. Extra cleaning can be requested.
White towels in bathrooms, beach towels available for the pool area and to bring to the beach.
Welcome packs for after hours arrival.
Two adjacent villas in the complex can also be booked subject to availability.
The Algarve region
This villa is located in a most convenient location within the "Golden Triangle". Spring Gardens is located at the Val do Lobo end of Almancil close to the Karting Track and the popular Apolonia Supermarket. It adjoins open countryside, more interesting and reasonably priced restaurants and shops but is only a few minutes drive to the more touristy coastal activites of beaches, marinas, water parks, shopping and of course the 12 golf courses found in the Quinto do Lago, Val do Lobo and Vilamoura complexes.
The villa adjoins the village of Vale d'Eguas, which in Portuguese means the Valley of the Mares, on its east boundary while on the west it faces out to rolling countryside and hillsides behind which the sun sets attractively. There is a local Portuguese restaurant 2 minutes walk which serves good family fare while producing its own wine for the adults. Less than a minute walk further on is a famous Mozambique restaurant serving more adult fare, curried prawns and other exotic dishes together with its own wine also. You can also walk for lunch in the local snack bar where the local commercial drivers are mothered over.
A three minute drive down the road brings you to a Spanish Paella and Tapas restaurant, an Italian pizza/pasta outlet and an English owned full range restaurant. All allow you take out their produce for enjoying back at the villa. There are a number of local take outs (including a gourmet Chinese) which you can phone for a delivery service. The famous Coleur de France restaurant, with its spectacular setting, is at the end of the road.
Finally there is a small local shop out the back gate of Spring Gardens which has a little bit of everything. So if you run out of bottled water, beer, wine, cleaning powder, toothpaste or whatever it can be found there but obviously at a higher price than driving 10 minutes to the excellent Hypermarket on the fringes of Loule at the top of the Estrada Vale d'Eguas.

"Beautiful high spec villa, close to airport."
We were delighted with the Villa which was stunning with modern decor and very well equipped.
Best bits: Clean, spacious, own garden, large pool area and shared garden, close to local attractions.
There were no bad bits really, maybe only that you would need to drive to restaurants as there was only one nearby (but with young children aged 4 and 2, we were happy to eat at the villa and used the gas BBQ most nights.). Also if your children are not swimmers the garden is not fully enclosed and they could access the pool. However, the steps in the shallow end were great for them to paddle in.
Tony was brilliant to deal with and arranged car hire and airport transfers for us.
We look forward to staying here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends.

"Peaceful, clean, spacious, homely and a touch of luxury"
We really had a fantastic week in this lovely villa. It is extremely spacious yet cosy as well. The area is quiet and peaceful and the advantage of the shared pool is that it is large enough to actually swim properly! The bathrooms are fantastic, lost of hot water, all mod cons everywhere and a brilliant location. We love Almancil and this villa is 2 minutes walk from a a typical and quirky portuguese restaurant. And our other favourite restaurants are all within a 10 minute drive as is the town.
We really appreciated the Sky TV and wi fi and all the sun beds, towels, cushions etc. A really easy and enjoyable break. We will be back.

"Perfect Winter Escape !"
We have spent many winter holidays in the Algarve and stayed at some lovely, but very high priced hotels. When we knew we would be able to stay for a month we spent ages researching villa's to get a better priced option. Finally we found this one and it truly was Perfect! Big enough to have family out to visit and comfortable enough to make us happy to stay in. Sky TV, WiFi, great beds, fantastic top of the range barbeque and best of all getting up early on a chilly morning to the villa wide underfloor heating. At first it was a bit of an odd feeling that the other villa's in the cul de sac were not occupied but then we realised how much we appreciated the peace and quiet!!! The ONLY single down side was that our favourite restaurant, O Malveiro, was closed for holidays while we were there but then again there are plenty of others!!

"Superb Holiday in a fantastic villa"
Having been to the Algarve a number of times over the past few years we knew what we were looking for from a villa. Happily we stumbled across Tony's villa on HolidayLettings and after exchanging emails over a period of about 2 hours we were sold and had our booking confirmed for 2 weeks in June 2011.
2 minutes from Almancil, 6 minutes to the beach, 4 minutes to our favourite restaurant (Sr Frango's - best Piri-Piri chicken in Portugal), a fantastic pool, beautifully finished villa - we knew we were going to have a holiday to remember :-)
We arrived on the first flight into Faro from Dublin at 9 am and were able to access the villa immediately. The owners had kindly left a welcome pack for us and it was hard to resist the cold beers and wine at that time of the morning, but it proved to us that we had made a good choice. I was also delighted to see that there was a gas bbq instead of the normal charcoal one - makes it so much easier to throw something on for a quick lunch without having to clean and prep the bbq !
The villa itself is beautifully finished and the owners have obviously taken great care in selecting the fittings and furnishings. They even supplied beach towels which helped to keep the luggage weight down. The pool itself is fantastic - there is a huge sundeck with loads of loungers and sunshades. There is also a large garden behind the pool which was ideal for a kickabout with the kids.
Tony had made me aware of the wireless broadband before we travelled so I was able to bring my laptop and watch the hurling and football matches online.
As I write this review, a close friend is staying in the villa on our recommendation and I'm sure they will have as good a holiday as we did.
We've already confirmed our booking for next year and are already looking forward to it.
We would highly recommend this villa to anyone who is looking for a beautiful villa in a great location.
