Located minutes from Almancil, Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo and a 15 minute drive from Faro airport, Casa Bella Vista is an amazing house with all the Algarve has to offer on its doorstep.

We're five minutes drive from the Aquashow waterpark and ten minutes from Vilamoura and Quarteira.

We have a great little restaurant a short walk away called "A Carruagem". during the Summer you need to book - it's very popular

Unusually for the Algarve, the villa has an outdoor hot-tub from which you can take in the inescapable view.

One full side of the pool has a shallow area on which you can walk the full length. It’s surprisingly refreshing!

Outside, between the kitchen and the Barbeque is a massive table sheltered by a bougainvillea clad pergola.

With its elevated position, Casa Bella Vista is usually blessed with a cooling breeze.

The Algarve region

The climate of the Algarve is very close to that of California with 300 days of sunshine per year and rarely becoming too hot, although temperatures can on occasion reach mid to late 30's in August.

Tourism is big business in the Algarve, so everything you would expect in a sunshine holiday is within easy reach.

There is a huge amount available for every taste through historical centres, nature reserves and outdoors activities. golfing, equestrian, water parks, Formula 1, and water sports being just a few of the activities on offer.

Almancil

This is a great location, just beside the resorts, but at just sufficient distance to have a flavour of the real Portugal.

Boliqueime is 20 minutes from the airport, Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo, and 10 minutes to all of the following;

Zoomarine marine park, waterparks, several beaches, historic Loule, Algarve Shopping, Vilamoura Marina, Albufeira, SUrfing centres, scuba diving, Portimao Formula 1 circuit, sea cruises, numerous golf courses...

Pretty much everything other than snow is on offer

Boliquieme has a fantastic food festival in July when you can dine well for under a tenner. the local restaurants and bars are a fraction of the cost of those in the resorts and, there are great walks in the local hills with amazing views.

The village contains a bank & ATM, pharmacy, coffee shops, numerous shops, mini-market, hairdressers and beauty salon, clinic, sports centre, all weather football pitch...

Hi P, Thanks a million for the very kind headline! I'll email you, because I'd be interested in seeing a "to-do" list prepared from your perspective.I would be very grateful if you could lend me a few minutes of your time for that. Hopefully, if you return next year, there'd be nothing on your list.

"Simply Stunning - a holiday we will never forget"

I, along with 10 others (4 couples and 3 single adults) recently returned from Faro, Portugal. This holiday blew all other group holidays we've had out the water. Please see my review below:

Our Flybe flight was great, only had to wait an hour for the transfer in Southampton as we flew from Jersey.

On arrival at Faro Airport we collected our luggage and headed for the hire car collection desk of Budget Rental. We hired three cars due to the size of our group. In hindsight we will never use a budget rental again as each driver had to pay EUR1,300 on their credit cards to cover theft, which is understandable however, we also had to pay insurance and for a full tank of petrol which we did not end up using, and if you breakdown you have to pay for it!!

After two hours of waiting for the hire cars to be cleaned, etc we made our way to the villa - Casa Bella Vista!

I called Tadas the local contact who looks after the villa prior to leaving the airport - as requested by Ray to let him know we were on our way. Tadas asked us to meet him at the local train station 2 minutes drive from the villa and only 15 minutes from the airport. After meeting Tadas he drove us up to the villa, opened the private gates - our faces dropped in awe as we drove in and parked the cars, we felt like celebrities, this villa was stunning.

Tadas welcomed us to the villa and showed us around, he showed us how to use the window shutters and alarm etc. We all just wanted to jump in the pool and have a sunbathe as we were all so excited.

Tadas setup the Jacuzzi (small additional cost) - Well worth every penny!

Then he helpfully led us to a big supermarket, a 7 minute drive away (smaller supermarkets nearby)

The villa was amazing and catered for all our needs, ensuites in every bedroom, games room, ping pong, massive kitchen, fresh coffee making machine, brilliant bbq and seating area, not to mention the heated pool. We could not have wanted for more.

Any minor problems we had, Tadas was on call to help and were quickly resolved (toilet wouldn't flush and couldn't find the cutlery).

There is a small but wonderful local restaurant at the bottom of the hill called the Carriage (english translation) which was in walking distance - local people often use the restaurant which serves mouth watering steaks, veggie food and very good wine all at very reasonable prices. We all loved it.

There is plenty to do in and around the area, fishing, water park, go-karting, walking, golf etc, nothing seems too far away and the area is very safe.

In 2011 all of us in the same group stayed in a villa in Marbella this villa that we all thought would never be beaten, this villa however blew the villa in Marbella out of the water hands down!

I would recommend Casa Bella Vista to young, old, disabled, children, romantic get-away, long stay, group holiday and short stay.

I nearly forgot to mention the incredible views from the villa, especially during sunset while relaxing in the jacuzzi after a hard day in the sun.

Big thank you to Ray who we booked the holiday through, he was always at the end of the telephone or by email. Ray and Tadas made booking the holiday stress free and answered all our questions very quickly. Ray has many properties in and around the area and we will certainly be going back to use his services again.

Overall an amazing holiday.

Would thoroughly recommend this villa.

Thank you for your very kind review, and I apologise for leaving it so long to send my thanks. Best wishes, Ray.

"Absolute Luxury, in a beautiful location!"

I cannot recommend this house enough, we stayed here with family and friends for my husband's 50th Birthday celebrations last September. We wanted for nothing, and if we did want anything, it was there either the same day, or first thing the next. The house is spacious and luxurious, with a kitchen I have coveted ever since. As a group of 11, we all had our own bathrooms and plenty of space to either be together, or for quiet time when needed. The views from the pool terrace were beautiful and the outside dining table was well used. The Carruagem restaurant is just at the bottom of the hill, but well worth a visit, we had a wonderful meal here, and would have gone back for my husbands 50th, but unfortunately they are closed on a Monday. You definately need a car here, but that is not a negative, we enjoyed the short journey into Vilamoura, with lots of lovely restaurants around the marina, although we spent a few nights dining in, as the facilities in the villa for cooking were fantastic, with everyone in our group taking it in turns to cook (including the men). The guys in our group played golf most days, with golf courses only a 10 minute drive away. We also travelled with our 10 month old granddaughter, who was more than accommodated for, with playpen, plenty of toys, cot and highchair provided. We were only here for 7 nights, which in hindsight wasn't enough, everyone in the group wanted to stay on for another week if it had been possible. We will definately be returning!!
