A great new alternative to the regular hotel chains...The Frangipani is a really nice cottage, tastefully set up by an Indian couple based in Dubai. The style is understated elegance, no major dramas, but the Linen is fresh, the Towels, sparkling clean. Furniture is solid wood with a modern twist yet cosy and comfortable. The owners are very well traveled so have spared no effort, time and resource to make sure everything about the property is done well. Bottom line being a very comfortable and enjoyable holiday experience.

The cottage has a large en-suite master bedroom with a king size bed, wardrobe, rain showers, large wall-wall windows opening out to the beach view...the second bed room is also en-suite, with a double bed, good lighting, high wood paneled ceilings.

The verandah is a great place to sit down with a favorite book, cup of coffee or whatever you like to soak in the view (the beach) and the surroundings. Cottage comes with a large drawing room, antique dining table, a fully equipped kitchenette, reverse osmosis water filtration system, a power inverter, pressure pump for refreshing showers, beach Combers, lounge chairs etc..

"A place to lay back and relax"

The Frangipani was our first stop on a fortnight's holiday in Kerala. The cosy cottage was a great spot to unwind and relax for a few days. The The four nights were just right; a longer stay would been a bit boring. We loved the great sunsets and watching the fisherman setting out to sea. The caretaker, local tuk-tuk driver and fisherman next door were all very kind and helpful. The location is a bit remote. A mobile phone with a local SIM to organize transport and food is a must.

Marari Beach ist a beautiful palm fringed sandy beach stretching for miles however, be warned that you need to look out for human & dog faeces littering the beach. It's a real shame the locals use this wonderful beach as a public restroom. Swimming wasn't really an option.

Dear Mr Osman, many thanks for your positive review of the Frangipani. We are glad you had a relaxing stay.

Some of the fisherfolk in the villages in the area continue their old ways of doing things which as you have rightly pointed out is a shame on an otherwise beautiful coastline. The community is on a concerted effort along with the local panchayat to clean up the place real soon. We hope to get the place upto expectations and make it one of the best holiday spots in a Southern India

"Unforgettable Frangipani"

This was our first self-catering holiday in India. Marari beach is very much off the tourist track. We would reccomend this unique experience to travellers who are already familiar with India. At the Frangipani you will live among the people of this tiny fishing village. They were more than friendly, gracious and helpful. The house is lovely, spacious, comfortable and well equipped.
As the beach is part of the working village, the habits of a few locals may at times be surprising. This was a lovely, relaxing and very different visit to India, a country which has never ceased to enchant us.

Dear Georgi, Many thanks for your positive review of the Marari Beach and the Frangipani! We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay with us! Hope to see you again.

Dear Ravi,

Thanks a lot for the candid review of our little gem on the beach! Greatly appreciate your feedback and we are glad you all had a good time and enjoyed your stay at the Frangipani!
