The city of Alicante has been a favourite destination for sun lovers for over a century, and its beautiful golden sandy beaches have been awarded the Blue Flag of the European Union year after year; proof of their cleanliness and quality.
The terraces along the Explanada de España are the perfect place to meet for a drink or a chat or simply to take a break from sightseeing. Here you will find restaurants, cafés, bars, taverns, chocolaterias and ice-cream parlours.
Behind the Explanada is a nightlife area called 'la zona' where cafés, pubs, beer gardens, night clubs help to create a lively atmosphere. 'La zona' centres on the Avenida de Ramón y Cajal, Paseo del Doctor Gadea and surrounding streets such as San Fernando, Canalejas, Arzobispo Loaces and Alemania, etc.
Another nightlife area is the 'Ruta de la Madera' (literally, 'route of wood'), named for the abundance of this material in the decoration of its pubs and disco bars. This area is based around the Avenida de Alfonso el Sabio, in streets uch as Capitan Segarra, Garcia Morato, and Campos Vassallo.
The largest and most popular area is 'El Barrio', which comes to life at night when the dozens of bars, pubs and taverns fill up with people, locals and visitors alike. They cater for all tastes and frequently offer live music or art exhibitions.
Alicante's marina and port offer exclusive restaurants, pubs and cafés and many shops where the die-hard shopper can shop til they drop! Add the fantastic views into the mix, and the wonderful shows that take place there during the summer months, and you'll be guaranteed a whale of a time!
Opposite the marina is Panoramis, a shopping and leisure centre which also sports a wide range of pubs and restaurants.

Whether you are staying in Alicante for a city visit, beach holiday or a combination of both this apartment is located in a perfect position close to all amenaties and is equipped to a high standard with everthing you will need for your visit. |

We had a great time and will be returning. The apartment is very comfortable and generously equiped. Small touches - like toys and books for children, lidos etc. - make a real diiference to the feeling of the place. There are a dozen restaurents within two miuntes walk and we dind't find the noise a problem. The only very slight quibble is a damp/drains smell which I think is related to the block not the apartment. |

A very spacious apartment on the second floor (tiny elevator), with high ceilings and lots of windows. Kept very well. Comfortable beds, many wardrobes. The location is excellent, in a pedestrian area in the old town of Alicante, surrounded by restaurants, cafes and shops. To the beautiful city beach is a five minute stroll. The owner responds very fast to emails etcetera. We stayed there with four adults, a two year old and a baby and we all enjoyed it very much! |

Please contact owner for any enquiries for long weekends, etc. The property can easily accomodate 6 persons, but you will need to contact the owner to confirm the rental rate.
To confirm any booking, you will need to contact the owner to complete the booking contract and arrange Bank Transfer of 25% of the rental fee. The remainder of the rental fee is due 6 weeks prior to receiving the keys. Note that a photocopy of your passport will be required when booking.
A refundable deposit of GBP 400 for possible damages/breakages and is payable 6 weeks prior to receiving keys. Whilst the price is inclusive of housekeeping at the end of the stay, the flat should be left in the same condition as upon arrival (i.e. kitchen, baths and furniture tidy and in original places).
Note: Pleases remember that this is not a professional letting company or hotel, but my family's property and we would expect it to be treated with care and respect. We have renovated and furnished the flat to high standard and do not take any joy in having to deduct any monies for breakage/damage from the deposit.
