those seeking a quiet enviroment.
El Pinet Beach - The local beaches of El Pinet and La Marina are miles of unspoilt sandy beaches with a handful of locally owned cafes/restaurants offering the best in local cusine. . It is possible to walk along the beach to Santa Pola in one direction or Guardamar del Segura in the other direction.

Separate kitchen with oven & hob, microwave, large fridge/freezer, kettle & toaster, plenty of cupboards, and work surfaces. Off the kitchen is a utility room with washing machine, large sink and a good drying area for laundry

2 swimming pool, one very close to the apartment and the other larger pool a one minute walk away (Currently not in use). Both pools are unheated and therefore only suitable in warmer weather.

The Alicante area
The El Pinet development is situated between, the village of La Marina and the sea with its unspoilt white soft sandy beach. It is also on the edge of a nature reserve with protected sand dunes, salt lakes and pine & eucalyptus forests. The area is named after the pine trees near the beach.
El Pinet comes under the umbrella of Elche, a large town 20 minutes inland from El Pinet. This beautiful old city is worth taking the time to wander around, and it is renowned for its thousands of palm trees - Elche is known as the "city of palms" still cultivated in the Moors traditional way. It is also famous for its historic buildings and as a producer of shoes and sandals.
The Village of La Marina is just a 15 minute walk. The village has all facilities including a tourist information, plenty of shops, bars, cafes restaurants, hotel, supermarkets, pharmacy etc.
Guardamar is a 15 minuite drive away. This is a typical Spainish resort town and has remained unspoilt by tourism. There are regular markets here. A huge Sunday market taking up many streets. A smaller Wednesday market and every evening there is a street market.
The towns of Alicante and Torrevieja are a 25 minute drive. At Torrevieja you will find miles of beach promenade overlooking the fantastic beach artists at work. A variety of multi national restaurants, bars and nightclubs. For the serious shopper there are High Street fashion shops alongside local shops and markets.
Golf Courses
La Marquesa at Quesada is a 15 minute drive away and Villamartin, Campoamor and Las Rambles are a 30 minute drive away.

Fly to Alicante airport then take a taxi or hire a car from the airport where the journey time is 15-20 minutes and the route is easy. We can supply directions from the airport

On arrival in Alicante we collected the keys in a local cafe from two very nice people who spoke excellent English and could not have offered any more help, even dropping us off at the apartment and explaining the area on the way. The property has a great location and is only 10 minutes walk from local amenities, where there are plenty of shops, cafe's & Bars. Also close buy is the beach where there are some more bars and restaurants on the sea front. If there was one downfall it would be the lack of air conditioning although large oscillating fans are provided. Overall a good relaxing & quiet holiday location.
