About the home
This unique 19th century Cave House has been lovingly restored to a high standard, set in beautiful lush tropical gardens, with private pool. Surrounded by orange and lemon groves with olive and almond farms also. There are stunning 360 degree Mountain views, making this property ideally located for bird watching, walking and an interest in geology.
The village of La Murada is only 1 km, with plenty of typical Spanish bars and restaurants, as well as banks, chemist, supermarkets and several specialist shops. La Murada is well known for its excellent market, on a Sunday, which brings people in from all over the area. The village also has a petrol station and medical centre.
Accommodation
Bedroom 1 with king size bed. Bedroom 2 with two single beds. Bedroom 3 with double bed (plus optional single bed) with en-suite. Bedroom 4 with King size bed and en-suite.
Bathroom with bath/shower, wc, bidet and hairdryer. En-suite shower room and wc to bedroom 3. En-suite bath/shower and wc to bedroom 4.
Bedroom 4 is not part of the main cave house but seperate with en-suite bathroom and its own private courtyard, within the grounds of the property.
Fully fitted kitchen and separate pantry. Oven/hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and small appliances.
Separate Dining room with dining table and chairs, CD player.
Living Room has sofas and chairs, coffee tables, Satellite TV, DVD, boardgames, cards, books and wireless broadband internet. Also genuine log burner for the occasional cool winter months.
BBQ area with access to kitchen via window. Terrace has tables and chairs, sunbeds, recliners and parasols.
Use of washing machine and iron/ironing board. All bed linen and towels (except beach/pool towels) are provided. The property is cleaned between lets. Additional cleaning can be arranged at an extra fee.

The Cave house maintains a constant comfortable temperature all year round so there is no need for air conditioning or fans in the summer. Welcome pack of essentials is included.

Access is via a tarmac road, which leads directly to parking area with a covered car port for two cars.

The Thermal Spa Baths of Fortuna and Archena are a short drive away. Orihuela is a very old medieval town with lots of historical buildings is 10 mins drive. Elche which is approx 20 mins drive is famous for its Palm Tree park.

By Car, Alicante Airport is 30 mins, Murcia Airport is 45 mins. Car hire is advised. Airport pick-up and drop-off can be arranged at an additional cost.

Distances in time by car. Orihuela is the closest large town which is 10 mins. City of Murcia is 25 mins. City of Alicante is 35 mins. Torrevieja is 45 mins. Benidorm about an hour.

A charming,well maintained spacious cave house with all amenities. The house has lots of room and is in great order with a wonderfull terraced area and a plunge pool, giving views over orange groves. Nearby town is small but has a few bars, shops and banks etc although a car is necessary if you want to go further afield and within easy reach you have Murcia, Alicante and more. I did however take a train from a nearby town to Alicante without any problems. Or you can just enjoy staying in relaxing, peacefull surroundings. Highly reccomend |

The house is in a very quiet location perfect for just switching off and relaxing which is what we wanted. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. There was plenty of room for 5 of us. The gardens and pool are beautiful. There are several good restaurants locally and in the main town although we did use the BBQ often. |

Prices are per week in UK pounds, based on 8 sharing. There is a £50 per week supplement for the additional 9th (child only) person sharing bedroom 3.
In addition to the prices above school/bank holidays are charged at peak rate.
£150 damage/keys deposit is to be paid on arrival and returned on day of departure following checks.
A non-refundable deposit of 150 pounds (for each week booked) is required to secure the booking, with the balance to be paid 8 weeks prior to rental date. Travel insurance may be required as no liability is accepted by owners in the event of injury, loss or damage.
Saturday is usually changeover day. Arrival after 2pm and departure by 10am, although this can be flexible, please enquire.
