About the home

Situated on Alhaurin Golf course in Alhaurin el Grande, this well equipped, air conditioned apartment with one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge is ideal for a family, couples and golfers. It has English satellite TV, DVD player and communal swimming pool.

The apartment has two balconies, one from the master bedroom and the other accessed from the lounge. They provide magnificent views across the golf course and the surrounding mountainside.

£100 deposit to be paid at time of booking with balance being paid 1 month before departure.

A security deposit of £60 is to be paid upon arrival. This is required in case of breakages/damage to property and will be refunded upon satisfactory inspection of property at the end of the stay.

The Costa del Sol region

With its warm winters and glorious summers the Costa del Sol has something for everybody - it is ideal for families, couples and golfers.

There are many fantastic beaches and marinas within easy reach including Torremolinos (30mins), Benalmadena (30 mins), Fuengirola (20 mins), La Cala (20 mins), Marbella (30 mins) and Puerta Banus (40 mins). Boat trips can be taken from the marinas and both Torremolinos and Fuengirola have excellent water parks.

For those willing to travel further afield (1½ - 2 hrs) the beautiful cities of Granada with the magnificent Alhambra Place, Sevilla and Cordoba make for an excellent day out. The drive to Ronda, a stunning cliff top town set astride the awesome 100m deep El Tajo gorge amid the beautiful Serrania de Ronda mountains, is spectacular. Gibraltar with its tax free shopping is also well worth a visit.

For the golfers there are over 20 golf courses within 40 mins, each with its own unique features.

Other local activities include horse riding, tennis, bowls, quad biking and walking.

The Alhaurin Golf Resort area

Alhaurin Golf course, designed by Seve Ballesteros, is a challenging hill-side course with impressive views over the Mijas mountains and the Mediterranean sea. As well as the 18 hole par 72 course there is a 9 hole par 3 course and an excellent driving range and practice ground. Visitors are welcome to join the members for competitions.

The typically Spanish town of Alhaurin el Grande is a 5 min drive away and has a large selection of cafes and restaurants as well as shops, banks, internet cafes etc.

Mijas, a very attractive white Andalucian village with narrow streets, panoramic views and whitewashed houses covered with bougainvillea and jasmine, is only a 10 min dirve. It is a very popular attraction with its famous donkey taxis, horse-drawn carriages, gift shops, café bars and magnificent views across to the Mediterranean.

From the entrance to the Golf Resort there is a regular bus service to Mijas, Fuengirola and Alhaurin.

“Peaceful but too far from sea” We felt the apartment was spacious, generally well equipped and practical with a/c and lots of towels supplied, but needing a thorough clean throughout and some new equipment (fridge, new lounge rug, pillows, coffee maker) The photo was deceptive - we thought the pool was next to the apartment, but it is a 5 minute walk around the road to get there. The satnav will try and take you up the windy road via Mijas to get there, but it's much easier go on the new fast road from Mijas Costa. Response: Cleaners have been changed and tenants now commenting positively on cleanliness. Comment re needing new fridge was unfounded as the reviewer had left the freezer door open thus freezer was frozen solid and fridge wasn't working correctly - both are in excellent condition. New pillows have been supplied. Pool is about 100m away - apartment benefits from being protected from any noise made around the pool area by users.
