The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
Costa del Sol is famous for its wonderful Mediterranean sunshine and long, long summer. Easter is generally sunny and warm and the warm sunshine continues well into October and often beyond. Although the winter weather is less predictable, there is usually still plenty of sunshine although it is cooler in the mornings and evenings. It is still quite feasible to sunbathe on the beach on Christmas day!
Alhaurin Golf Resort area
Alhaurin El Grande is a short drive away and has shops, banks, restaurants, internet cafes etc. Although you will find Brits here, it is predominantly a very 'Spanish' town. Mijas is a famous andulucian hilltop 'white' village with marvellous coastal views towards Benalmadena and Fuengirola. The coastal resorts of Benalmadena, Fuengirola and Marbella are a short drive away. The roads to the coast from Alhaurin golf are good and quiet.
