The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
The Costa del Sol offers a wide range of activities, it's great for families & couples as well as golfers. The apartment is located between Alhaurin el Grande & Mijas approximately 30 minutes from Malaga airport. The regions coastal resorts include Fuengirola, Torremolinos, Benalmadena & Mijas Costa (to name just a few) which have wonderful beaches & plenty of attractions for families. Those looking for something more energetic will find plenty of good golf courses, horse riding, tennis & watersports. If you are looking for history then look no further than Gibraltar, the beautiful Alhambra Palace in Granada & the historical areas of Malaga all of which are within driving distance.
Alhaurin Golf Resort area
The Alhaurin Golf resort designed by Seve Ballesteros is situated between Alhaurin el Grande & Mijas it is surrounded by pine forests & the hills of the Mijas mountains. The main golf course is an 18 hole Par 72, there is also a 18 hole junior course & a golf school providing practice facilities, a driving range plus putting & chipping greens. The clubhouse has a Pro Shop, bar & restaurant offering all day dining from a good value for money menu. The lively town of Alhaurin el Grande is less than 10 minutes away, offering a good selection of bars, restaurants & shops. The picturesque white village of Mijas is 15 minutes away while the beaches of La Cala, Torremolinos & Fuengirola are all within easy reach. Car hire is recommended & can be arranged locally or from the airport. There is a regular bus service which runs from Alhaurin Golf to Mijas & Fuengirola & inland to Alhaurin & Coin.
How to get there
Fly direct to Malaga from most UK airports. Cheap flights are available from airlines such as Jet 2, Monarch, Thomsons & Easyjet. Alhaurin Golf is approx 25Km from Malaga airport, along the N340 coast road signposted for Cadiz, exiting on the Fuengirola-Coin road MA 426.Follow road through Alhaurin de la Torre & Alhaurin el Grande, then follow signs for Fuengirola, Alhaurin Golf is approx 3km from Alhaurin el Grande. The entrance to the complex is on the left directly opposite the Hotel Alhaurin Golf. A 25% deposit will be required to secure the booking, balance to be paid 8 weeks prior to departure. In addition a security deposit of £125 is required, this will be refunded upon a final inspection of the apartment. A supplement of £30 per week is payable for the 5th person. Longer winter lets are available on request. There is no final clean charge.
