The Villa itself is a large DETACHED and set in a 1000 sqm private plot within the Alhaurin Golf Urbanisation, next to the pine forests on the side of the mountain overlooking the Mediterranean. The villa is fully fenced with an electric gated entrance from road for security.
The accommodation comprises downstairs of a large "L" shaped well equipped lounge/dining room with large "glass wall" to patio and swimming pool and two further patio doors to side patio and garden area, a large well equipped kitchen diner, a downstairs toilet/shower room with stairs leading to the upper floor bedrooms and bathrooms.
The lounge has a 42inch LCD "HD" TV with UK Sky Satellite (freeview) channels, with a DVD and CD player. There is "high speed" Internet 6-8Mbs (WiFi) provided at no cost and you will be provided with the password in your welcome email pack (availability subject to provider). The kitchen is well equipped with full cooker, ceramic hob, dishwasher and clothes washer, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge freezer. All cutlery, plates, glasses etc are provided. There is an iron and ironing board available.
Upstairs there are 3 double sized bedrooms, all airconditioned, all three bedrooms also have a central ceiling fan that can be operated remotely.
There is a lovely master bedroom suite with its own private bathroom with bath, double sink, shower and toilet facilities. This room has large patio doors and balcony with great sunset views to the mountains.
There are two further double sized bedrooms upstairs, one with a large double bed, with double arched patio doors to Juliet balcony with wonderful views to the mountains and one further bedroom with twin beds again with patio doors and a Juliet balcony.
These bedrooms share a further bathroom with toilet and shower facilities. There is a safe that is available to guests in one of the bedrooms, you will be given the code on arrival and checking in.
Alhaurin Golf is a premier Seve Ballesteros designed golf resort with an 18 and a 9 hole course. The clubhouse is just 1 minutes drive or 5 minutes walk away from the Villa and has a bar, restaurant and is a great place to chill out.
Across the road from the golf urbanisation on the main road to Fuengirola is the Alhaurin Golf Hotel which has a restaurant, bar and tennis courts that are available to no-residents for 6 euro/hr. In addition there are three further restaurants within 5 minutes walk of the villa including the BOMA South African bar and restaurant, serving authentic South African curries and BBQ specialties.
Only 10 minutes drive around the mountain from the Villa is the famous white Village of Mijas, set on the mountainside overlooking the coast, this is a very popular tourist attraction and a must see on your trip for the shops, cafe's, restaurants and famous donkeys, not to mention the spectacular views.
Just 2 klm in the opposite direction is Alhaurin El Grande and Coin, both wonderful old Spanish towns with many good restaurants, shops, supermarket, and medical facilities and a very popular destination to visit. There are Spanish markets on all week around the villages and towns around so plenty of opportunity to wonder around and do some shopping when you have had enough of the pool, golf or the beach.
Down the new link road just 10 minutes by car is the coast and Fuengriola with its long promenade, large marina, beach, nightlife and many good restaurants and our personal favourite, the lovely La Cala "Mijas" beach area, our favourite, just 15 minutes away.
For other great locations you have Calahonda and Marbella only 20 minutes drive away with all they have to offer day and night, the famous Puerto Banus marina and some spectacular restaurants, old and new. There are other not to miss locations nearby such as the port area of Malaga with its cruise ships, old fortifications, Granada and the Alhambra Palace is just over an hour away and the lovely inland towns such as Monda and Ronda are on your doorstep. Head down the cost only an hours drive and you can see Soto Grande and its lovely Marina and then have the day out in Gibraltar.
If you are here to play golf you will be spoiled, with a wonderful course just 200m away and many many more golf courses within a 10 mile radius of the villa, too many to mention.
You will be spoiled for what to do there is so much locally, or just stay by your private pool and relax in the sun or head out for the many local sights or beaches....

The property was build around 2006, is of a high standard, has marble floors, nicely decorated with central air-conditioning to service the bedrooms. In the lounge there is a ceiling fan and with all the Patio doors and windows the cooling mountain breeze will keep you cool even in the hight of the summer.
The lounge area has 3 leather sofas to relax and watch TV, and a classy 6 place dining table for dinner and entertaining thats if you're not eating alfresco out by the pool, or why not cook a wonderful BBQ by the pool and watch the sun go down while you prepare your evening feast !!
The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and there are two very nice double beds available and two singles all rooms are airconditioned and with central ceiling fans too, if like us you prefer the windows and doors open for the breeze in the evenings suplemented by the fans when required.
All rooms have nice views to the mountains or gardens from their own balconies.

The villa stands in its own private grounds and is not part of any communal area of the urbanisation, all areas are private, secure and yours to enjoy. There are lovely views to the valley that runs down to the coast and the mountains offer a lovely backdrop and some amazing sunsets. There is the Castle (the folly) on the hill visible from the villa that adds that special touch, how many places come with there own castle!! Behind the villa the mountain continues upwards and is covered in pine forests and there are many lovely walks in the area if you love the countryside and are into walking/hiking.
The property is cool in the summer and with all the windows and patio doors is very comfortable even when it's hot outside, and you can always dive into the pool to cool down !!.
There is a large outdoor dining table seating 6 for dining alfresco, and new large BBQ, with sun loungers and chairs for relaxing.
The patio is private and secure for sunbathing and swimming and lit at night.
NEW for this year is an outdoor "lounge area" by the pool with two comfortable settees and coffee table covered by several Shade Sails for outdoor relaxing out of the sun.
*** PLEASE NOTE SAFETY IMPORTANT INFORMATION ***
The villa garden is fenced, private and secure, however the THE SWIMMING POOL AREA IS OPEN TO THE PATIO, THE GARDEN, AND THE VILLA, SO THE VILLA IS UNSUITABLE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN WHO ARE UNSUPERVISED.
Any children who come to the property during your stay are your responsibility and must always be supervised near the pool by an adult at all times. In booking this villa you will be asked to confirm in writing that you have been advised that the Villa is a pool safety risk and that YOU ACCEPT FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY CHILDREN AT THE PROPERTY AND THEIR SAFETY AT ALL TIMES.
The villa is non-smoking inside sorry, but outside its ok as long as you respect the garden and terrace area and dispose of your waste into a bin and not leave ANY mess in the patio area or garden.
We have a local company "Safe As Houses" who clean the pool, prepare the villa for your arrival, undertake mid let cleans where applicable and check and clean the villa on your departure. "Alan and Rosa" are available to assist if there are any problems during your stay.
They can also provide extra services direct to you eg organise trips for you, act as your tour guide,, assist if you have need of a Spanish speaking person for example to visit the doctor, a hospital etc, please note you need to pay them direct for any additional work they undertake on your behalf, this is not included in your rental price.

Payment via Holiday lettings credit card "PayPal" facility is at no extra charge to you.
When you make an enquiry on Holiday Lettings you will be sent a quotation from the Holiday Lettings system and you have 5 days to accept this quotation to secure your booking with the payment of the deposit, this period allows you to arrange your flights secure in the knowledge that your dates at the villa are secure for you.
Your dates will be held for you during this 5 day period and the calender for the property updated to reflect the period you require is being blocked out for you. The dates are subsequently released if you do not take up the quotation after this period, the system will send you reminders in case you have forgotten to complete the booking. If you do nothing the booking will automatically cancel after 5 days if you do not make a payment.
There will be a 30% deposit required to hold your booking and secure the dates for your holiday.
The final 70% is due no later than 45 days prior to your arrival, all monies received at this late stage should be considered non-refundable unless we are able to re-let the period you have booked. If you have had to cancel we will endeavour to do this for you however we cannot be held responsible for, or guarantee that this will be possible. These payments are at your risk so it is then advisable for you to arrange insurance cover that you can claim on, just in case.
Refundable Security Deposit
At 45 days you will also be asked to pay an additional £250 security deposit this will be refunded to you within two weeks of your departure provided there have been no breakages. damages, additional cleaning costs (eg the pool left in a poor condition) or other incidential costs incurred during your stay, for example an un-notified late arrival when our staff are at the villa waiting to let you in, or late departure resulting in delays to cleaning ). There is an inventory agreed on your arrival and a condition check completed when the property is cleaned after your departure, when that is successfully completed a confirmation email is sent to us indicating that all is ok or any extra charges incurred to us and hence you, if ok the the refund will be on its way back to you when this has been received. We ask that to facilitate the return of your security deposit quickly you provide us your UK bank details (A/C number, sort code etc) and we will make the payment direct back to your bank.
Electric is very expensive in Spain and we ask our guests not to waste electric by leaving doors open especially at night when operating the central air-conditioning system for the upstairs bedrooms, this can also lead to the failure of the A/C units as they will "ice up" with the high humidity, potentially requiring an engineer call out to repair with associated costs which will be deducted from your deposit. We ask that all bedroom Patio doors and windows and bedroom entry doors are kept closed when Airconditioning is used and that it is only used when required (eg in bedrooms and at night time) and is ALWAYS switched off when not required and before OPENING EXTERIOR PATIO DOORS
Typically in the summer the A/C's are used only at night in the upstairs bedrooms, the downstairs A/C is switched off and is not available, the summer breezes through the many downstairs patio doors keep the villa cool. We do reserve the right to charge extra from the security deposit if unreasonable use of the A/C is made during your stay and as a result electric usage is proven to be excessive, all reasonable use is fine. So far no one has ever had to make an additional payment.
If you are booking less than 45 days before your holiday date then the full 100% and additional security deposit is due in full at that time.

When you are in Spain we have a local agent, Alan and Rose of "Safe As Houses" who are responsible to us for security, villa cleaning, pool maintenance, villa preparation and checking out the villa on your departure and they may be available to you if you need advice or have any problems.
Alan and Rose will be in touch a couple of weeks prior to your arrival when you have paid your final amount and will help you in any way that you require. Normally they will arrange to meet you at the Villa and send you detailed directions to get here, however they can arrange meet and greet services at the airport and other local assistance at an additional cost (with payment direct to them on arrival)
If you need personal assistance while here, for example don't speak Spanish and need assistance on hospital/doctor visit or other matters please contact them directly they will give you their number. You should assume that their time will be charged directly in this regard and you should settle your bill with them at the time, personal assistance from them is available but is not included in your rental price.
The Costa del Sol region
The Location on the Costa del Sol
Alhaurin Golf is situated just off the Alhaurin El Grande to Fuengirola road, the brand new mountain road that takes you directly to the coast in just minutes. The Villa is only a 30min drive away from Malaga airport, either via the main costal highway and Fuengirola, or around the back of the Mountain via Alhaurin dela Tore and Alhaurin el Grande. Malaga Airport is serviced by all the budget airlines from around Europe with excellent conmnections the whole year around.
Malaga airport has numerous car hire companies which are easily accessed via the internet.
Our Local Agent who supports the Villa for us Al & Rosa of "SafeAsHouses" can also provide a meet and greet service from the airport if you don't want to hire a car and will be in touch after you have paid your final payment to see what they can do to help. They will ensure you get to the Villa with directions etc and show you around on arrival and make sure everything is ready for you. They are your prime point-of-contact when in Spain.
Some information on the Andalucia & Malaga Province region
Alhaurin Golf is located on the side of the mountain looking towards the coast and Fuengirola, Mijas Costa, very close to the famous white village of Mijas Pueblo.
The immediate inland area around Alhaurin Golf and the nearby Alhaurin El Grande and Coin is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Europe, offering beautiful weather, warm Mediterranean waters and stunning Andalusian countryside right on your doorstep, the white-washed villages are steeped in tradition and Spanish culture.
The region has plenty to offer to those seeking relaxing sunny holidays, as well as the facilities for the more active. With Andalusia's excellent road and rail network, the region is within easy reach of Granada, Sevilla, Cordoba, Ronda and the many picturesque hillside towns and villages.
The Villa at Alhaurin Golf villa is ideally situated for exploring the real Andalusia away from the main tourist resorts but you are only 15 mins away from these resorts should you wish to visit them.

Alhaurin El Grande abount 5 minutes drive away is one of the most picturesque villages in the Guadalhorce river valley. Almost all the town streets are narrow and winding The rolling hills and wide open spaces give a feeling of space from all around the town. The town has excellent shops, restaurants, bars and other amenities that you may require on holiday.
Coin 10 minutes away is one of the Andalusian towns that have yet to be touched by the tourist boom. It is just far enough from the coast to be out of reach of the high-rise hotels. The beautiful village of Coin is located at the cross-roads between Marbella and Mijas and is accessed by a brand new road network.
Alhaurin and Coin night life is good with something to suit all tastes, from traditional tapas bars and bodegas and good restaurants to modern air conditioned wine bars. You will find it far cheaper than in the major tourist areas and there is something for every age group. To its credit, this area is one of the few places close to the Costas that remains reasonably intact so far as a true 'Spanish' experience goes. It is a place full of history and interest.

There are many low cost flights to Malaga Spain from all over the UK and Europe, Malaga is well serviced by budget airlines such as Easyjet and others and the Villa is only 30 minutes drive down the coast from Malaga Airport !! Very easy to find and in a great mountainside location at the centre of a triangle comprising three major tourist towns, Fuengirola, Mijas and Alhaurin El Grande, the villa location is quiet and refined while being ideal for seeing the area with the coast, the beaches, nightlife and Golf right on your doorstep, with Marbella a short 20 minute drive away.

I travelled with my wife our 2 children and my wife's parents. The Villa is quite spacious and had more than enough room for us. The Bedrooms were ample and the main bedroom is quite large.... more
