When you were younger did you ever imagine living in a log cabin? Well, our unique holiday retreat is located just a 20 mins drive from Malaga airport and consists of spacious lounge with fireplace, dining area and open plan kitchen, two double bedrooms and a family bathroom. A separate guest house provides the 3rd double bedroom and shower room. From the living room is access to the truly stunning large covered terrace which is the summer central living area for the whole property which includes gas BBQ, outdoor kitchen, dining and seating areas with tv and music system, pool table and jacuzzi. From the pool are views of the valley and the Sierra Mijas mountains from a viewing platform where you can enjoy the sunset or sunrise or simply enjoy the sunbathing. The property is finished to the highest standards and features aircon, internet access (laptop required), flat screen tv's and outdoor dining facilities.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

The Costa del Sol attracts holidaymakers year after year, drawn by sandy beaches, spectacular mountain scenery, traditional Moorish villages, fantastic fiestas, tasty tapas and the reliably hot sunny weather on Spain's southern Mediterranean coast. The Costa del Sol offers excellent value for money with affordable outdoor dining and nightlife. The mild winter climate makes the Costa del Sol an excellent choice for a winter break with the Sierra Nevada ski resort within a 2 hour drive of Malaga and combined with the low-cost flights ensure that holidays on the Costa del Sol are a great option for last minute bookings and low season weekend and mid-week breaks. In the white mountain villages inland there are quieter and more authentically Andalusian experiences to be had with easy and quick access to the beaches and many of these mountain villages take you a million miles away from the scene on the coast.

Alhaurin El Grande area

Within a 5 mins drive of the house are the two towns of Alhaurin el Grande and Coin where you will find ample shopping and in Coin the La Trocha shopping centre which boasts a first class Spa/Gymnasium and multi cinema showing films in both English and Spanish, as well as boutiques and numerous cafes and restaurants and the Siboney Bar which is open till very late. There are two golf courses in Alhaurin el Grande, one having been designed by Seve Ballesteros, and numerous pavement cafes, bars, late night watering holes and discos. The local outdoor market is held on a Thursday morning in Alhaurin and Saturday morning in Coin. The beaches and ports of Marbella, Cabo Pino, Puerto Banus are within a 30 mins drive and El Chorro and the Ardales lakes are within a 30-40 mins drive where you will find fishing, messing about on the lake and eateries serving menu del dia from less than 10 euros per head. The small white town of Mijas is a 10 mins drive and for those wanting a day out to the Sierra Nevada ski resort or the Alhambra Palaces in Granada are approx. 1.5 hours drive.

The house has been described by all of our previous guests as "spacious, well equipped and very homely" and that although the photographs are excellent they do not do the property justice. Also described by guests "as a retreat that is a real treat"!

Decked viewing/sunbathing area, overlooking the white town of Alhaurin el Grande and the Sierra Mijas Mountains. A tranquil location, which is secluded but not isolated. Ample parking. Private pool.

The covered terrace is the outdoor summer living area for the whole property which includes outdoor kitchen/Barbeque, dining and seating areas, tv and music, pool table and jacuzzi.

A 20% (non refundable) deposit will be required to secure the booking with balance payable within 6 weeks of arrival date. The deposit and balance can be paid either by Paypal or direct to our bank account. Should the balance be paid and the holdiay cancelled within 5 weeks of arrival, providing another booking can be found, then 50% of the holiday price will be refunded. However, if it proves impossible to take another booking then the whole of the cost will not be refunded. Should the holiday be cancelled within up to 3 weeks prior to arrival, the deposit and balance will be forfeited.
