The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

30 minutes inland from Malaga. Alhaurin el Grande is a Spanish town but with all the facilities that you could want for the perfect holiday. There are a number of excellent restaurants specialising in fish, meat and tapas along with Chinese and Indian as well.

The location is perfectly located for touring inland and making your way to Marbella, Fuengirola and Malaga (all within 40 minutes drive). Granada and Seville are also only 1.5 hours drive and make fabulous day trips out.


Alhaurin El Grande area

Spanish festivals take place throughout the year and are a must visit affair. Through May and August there are several 'ferias's when you would expect to see locals in full Spanish riding outfits riding horseback through the town.

The carnival atmosphere is electric! At Christmas and Easter there are processions through the town as well.
