2 independant holiday homes private from each other - can be rented separately for smaller groups of 2 or 4 guests or together for groups of up to 6 guests - both properties have their own private grounds and facilities and are private from each other.
"El Corcho Villa" - private SWIMMING POOL and HOT TUB - all areas are private and for the sole use of the villa guests - sleeps up to 4 in a twin and double bedroom - 2 bathrooms.
"La Bellota" - private HOT TUB - all areas are private and for the sole use of the guests - sleeps 2 guests in a double bedroom.
El Corcho Villa and La Bellota are registered with The ANDALUCIA TOURIST BOARD - Each property is private from each other and they are each individually set overlooking peaceful, private woodland perfect for artists, bird watchers or just people who enjoy beautiful countryside. The access to each of the properties is by tarmac roads and lanes right up to the gates - each has their own private access and secure off road parking space. The properties have satellite TV with UK channels, Spanish TV, double glazing and wireless internet. Together with air-conditioned for the summer and full central heating for the winter.
The swimming pool and hot tub are at El Corcho Villa. La Bellota has a private hot tub in its grounds. Open all year round. The heated pool facility refers to the private spa pools /jacuzzi.
The private and self contained grounds include a beautiful BBQ patio area surrounded with plants and fruit trees which is set in the dappled shade of an Oak tree. There is a gas barbecue, table and chairs - a fantastic place to enjoy the wonderful views across the valley. This leads to the soft "English type" lawn with colourful flowers and further on to the "Top of the Range" Hot Tub /Jacuzzi. The subtle underwater lighting makes a dip in the hot tub, under the clear sky and stars, a wonderful way to end the day. The hot tub is controlled by the guests so that it can be heated for the winter, cool and refreshing for the summer. All areas of the gardens and patios have fantastic views to the Sierra de Mijas, Sierra de Nevada and across to the nearby village of Alhaurin El Grande.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
There are many typical white villages to see, ranging from the sleepy village of Tolox to the bustling village of Mijas with its donkeys, souvenir shops and fantastic views across to the coast and Africa (on a clear day). Some cities and towns within driving distance that are well worth a visit :- The ancient town of Ronda (1 hour) is built across a gorge and gives some wonderful "photo" opportunities. Granada (1 hour 45 minutes) is a beautiful city with the Alhambra Palace and the nearby ski resort of Sierra Nevada. Malaga (30 minutes) with wonderful parks, gardens, the new Picasso Museum and fascinating food market. Sevilla (3 hours) with its beautiful architecture, gardens, shops and restaurants. Visit Gibraltar (1 hour 30 minutes) to see the Apes on the rock and to experience "a little bit of England" with the English Policemen, letter boxes and shops.
Alhaurin El Grande / Urique area
Within walking distance of La Bellota and El Corcho, approximately 1.5kms, there are a few country bar/restaurants one of which even has a swimming pool for the use of its diners.
The village of Alhaurin el Grande is a short drive or walk away, 3kms, and contains plenty of traditional Spanish life, supermarkets, shops, banks and a local market every Thursday.
It contains mainly Spanish bars, together with some English and Irish bars, as well as some of the best restaurants in the region. You can dine out eating a wide range of fish, seafood or meat in Spanish, Italian, Seafood and even quality silver service restaurants for that special occasion or just enjoy a plate of the local tapas with a glass of wine. Menu of the day lunches start from just 7 euros for 3 courses.
At Easter time enjoy the parades and Passion Plays held in the open air in the centre of the "Old Town".
May brings the annual "feria" with its fairs, flamenco dresses, horse riders in costume and all night parties - happily this is 3kms away from your peaceful holiday home!
September is the time for the local "Romeria" with the parade of decorated carriages and displays of horsemanship. Enjoy a drink and tapas at the surrounding bars then walk the 1.5kms back to La Bellota or El Corcho.
There are a range of golf courses all within easy distance and if you fancy a walk there are plenty of routes to take right from the door of your holiday home.
Alhaurin el Grande has all range of sports facilities, from its new indoor swimming pool, outdoor pool, tennis courts, fishing lakes and much more...

Further details indoors: La Bellota has:- The kitchen, which is hand crafted by a local carpenter, has granite worktops and is fully fitted out with a gas oven, 4 ring hob, extractor, microwave oven, fridge freezer, cafetiere, toaster, electric kettle, t-towels, dish cloths, selection of pans, dishes, cooking utensils and cutlery. Washing machine facilities are also available. The dining area has a quality wooden table and four chairs together with a large display cabinet/book shelf which contains paperback books, magazines, information and maps on the surrounding area. In addition there is a lovely BBQ area with dappled shade from the Oak tree and fantastic views across the valley, this is furnished with table, 4 chairs and gas BBQ. The lounge with its patio doors, leading to the lawn garden, is beautifully fitted out with sofa, chair, pouffe, coffee table, display cabinet, satellite TV with UK channels, Spanish TV, CD hi-fi and beautiful pictures on the walls. The sofa in the lounge converts to a double bed.
The bedroom is beautifully fitted out with quality wooden furniture, with views from the window out across the gardens and the valley beyond to the Mijas Mountains. It has a good quality double bed, wardrobe, dressing table, chairs, hairdryer and ceiling fan light. A cot can also be provided. The spacious luxury BATHROOM with its on demand hot water (no tank) is fully tiled and has full size bath, shower, large mirror, heated towel rail, toilet and wash hand basin.
El Corcho Villa has in addition:- Swimming pool Second bedroom with twin beds. Second bathroom Large Roof Terrace with seating and table.

The pool facility at La Bellota is a private large spa pool/jacuzzi that is heated for the cooler months and refreshingly cool in the summer - Great fun for all ages and romantic at night under the stars.

Had a wonderful time, with sun and mellow temperatures. After -15 C at home in Norway it seemed quite tropical! Great spot and accommodation which has proved ideal for our excursions to Granada, Ronda, Antequera and a couple of days away in Costa de la Luz visiting Jerez, Medina Sedonia, Arcos to name but a few.
