The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
The Costa del Sol stretches along just over 150 kilometres of Málaga province and is one of Spain's most popular tourist destinations. The area's mild climate is the root attraction that makes it possible to enjoy the beaches and a wide variety of outdoor activities year round. There are endless golf courses, beautiful beaches, towns and attractions which make the Costa such a wonderful place to live and to holiday. Popular towns include Marbella, and Mijas, with Ronda, Cordoba, Seville and Gibraltar within a few hours drive.resorts with their ample tourist attractions and nightlife, while offering visitors the opportunity to explore the wonderful countryside right on their doorstep and experience traditional Spanish customs and village life in the local towns of Coín and Alhaurin el Grande. Alhaurin el Grande is a prosperous and bustling village with many local amenities. On the one hand, excellent restaurants, lively bars, modern supermarkets, even English newspapers, and on the other hand idyllic tree lined plazas with the older generation chatting and playing dominos, small hidden local bars serving traditional tapas and the feel of a real community. Alhaurin el Grande makes the ideal base for exploring the real Spain . The Alhaurin el Grande gastronomy is ample and varied with typical plates such as: 'migas' breadcrumbs fried with garlic and 'gachas cachorreñas' porridge with spices, 'allullas', 'dolcas', patties, sauce, broths, garlic soup, and many desserts such as sponge toast and oil cakes.cakes, oil buns, fritters, macaroons, date bread, egg rusks, fried rusks,. Nestled in the hills of the Mijas Mountain range, the Alhaurin Golf Resort is in a stunning location - just 15 minutes from the coast road to all destinations and attractions. The Alhaurín Golf resort is a unique sports and tourist development. Visiting golfers find themselves spoilt for choice, for there are 45 holes in all, 27 of which were designed by Seve Ballesteros. There is an 18 hole full-length course, a 9 hole short course and also the only 18 hole par 3 course in Andalucia. On the main course the fairways are long and narrow with greens protected by a fierce array of bunkers, lakes and gardens, but the fact that there are up to 6 different teeing areas at each hole means that the course can be adapted to any level of skill. Again for the Golf enthusiast, there are 5 different challenging courses within a 15 minute drive of the resort. Within a 50 minute drive there are the courses of Sotogrande, San Roque, Valderama and Almenara which are some of the golfing delights of the Costa del Sols 40 courses.

On you holiday you can pick oranges, lemons, almonds and figs (when in season) It is a little tropical oasis. With a state of the art kitchen and granite work surface you have the best of what Spain has to offer.

3 very large double bedroom all with double beds. one with En suite facilities with bath and shower. All have lots of storage and wardrobes. Bedroom 4 has 2 very sturdy large bunk beds ( the kind you get on a cruise ship) they fold away separately if one person is staying.

Overall, the villa was wonderful and allowed us to have a very welcomed, fantastic holiday! We spent most of our holiday at the villa and we felt very comfortable there. You have a wonderful property situated in an amazing village. It has certainly given us food for the thought about future plans. We thought the quality was excellent and would rate that as a 10. The standard of cleanliness was very high and the fixtures and fittings all more than adequate for their purpose. The pool and roof terrace were all excellent. The parking was ideal We thought the Villa was excellent value for money and we would have no hesitation in returning to it if we had a large party - this particular holiday we had my mother, my daughter and her husband, my son, my husband and myself so it is unlikely we would be repeating that type of make up in the fairly near future. We had a marvelous time and found it a good base to move around from. Having said that, we were quite happy just to spend time there enjoying the pool and relaxed peaceful atmosphere,eating outside and the endless sunshine. From Chris.

Was the villa value for money? - Yes the size of the villa easily catered for the 8 person capacity and it contained everything you needed.
Would you return?- Very much so and intend booking again some time next year.

We really appreciated the maps and directions you sent to us and also the book of places of interest that was in the villa on arrival, it made everything so easy and accessible for us.

Had a fantastic time in the Villa perfect for the Kids spent alot of time in the pool, AlHaurin El Grande is a lovely place and we played the AlHaurin Golf Course (Seve Ballesteros designed) spectacular views.
I will recommend the villa to my friends as the location is perfect for a family.
