Casa Verde is a delightful Andalucian property in the classic style. It sits on the edge of and overlooks Alhaurin el Grande, one of the most picturesque towns in the Guadalhorce river valley. It backs on to a National Park - many kilometers of pine forests stretching all the way to the coast of Mijas. This property has everything you could need for either a leisurely or very active holiday. Close to the airport (Malaga 35 minutes), Marbella and the sea (35 minutes) and Mijas (20 minutes), activities such as golf, fishing, horse riding, walking and mountain biking are some of the easily accessible activities available on your doorstep. Alternatively you may prefer to rest in its tranquil surroundings. The pool is set in 3/4 acre of lovely mature gardens. The villa is about 1.5km from the centre of Alhaurin, so a car is essential for shopping etc.
This air conditioned house sleeps 10 in 5 double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, one of which is on the ground floor. Fully equipped TV room, with Satellite TV (Sky), X-box, DVD, video and music system. Wireless broadband connection for those who need to keep in touch. It also has a pool, gas BBQ area, mature gardens and a beautiful internal courtyard complete with fountain and lush greenery.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

The Costa del Sol stretches along just over 150 kilometres of Málaga province and is one of Spain's most popular tourist destinations. The area's mild climate is the root attraction that makes it possible to enjoy the beaches and a wide variety of outdoor activities year round. There are endless golf courses, beautiful beaches, towns and attractions which make the Costa such a wonderful place to live and to holiday. Popular towns include Marbella, and Mijas, with Ronda, Cordoba, Seville and Gibraltar within a few hours drive.

Alhaurin El Grande area

Alhaurin el Grande is a town located in the provinceof Malaga, 30 Kms. from the capital city, and at 239 meters above the sea level. It is one of the most picturesque towns in the Guadalhorce river valley and it is situated between the river Fahala and the stream of Blas González. The Arabs named it Alhaurin, which some historians translate as "the valley", from the Arab root "Al-Haur", due to its situation upon the valley of the Fahala river, while other historians consider the name originating from the Arab word "Alhauerin" which means "Almighty God".
The town has excellent shops, restaurants, bars and other amenities that you may require on holiday. There are many local recreations - see Activities below.

The coast is much closer than you may think, with Fuengirola and Mijas just along a winding road round the mountain and there is a new road through to Marbella, to the south west. The rolling hills and wide open spaces give a feeling of space from all around the town. The nearest towns are Coin and Alhaurin de la Torre. With Andalucia's excellent road network, Alhaurin is within easy reach of Malaga, Granada, Sevilla, Ronda and the many picturesque hillside towns and villages in the region.
The Southeast of the municipal boundary is mountainous and the rest consist of plains. It has a very mild climate with light winds that blow predominately from the North and West.

How to get there

Fly to Malaga - Casa Verde is only 35 minutes away on excellent roads. You can fly to Malaga from all of the main and regional airports in the UK and from may cities in Europe. Although a car is essential, a cab from Malaga airport costs in the region of Euro30, which can be organised through our agent.
