This 3rd floor self-contained apartment is stylishly furnished to comfortably accommodate 4 adults with separate large (king size) double bedroom located in the Sol Andalusi Golf and Spa resort, opened Spring 05.

Situated just 15kms from Malaga airport, and 5 minutes from 4 of the best golf courses in Southern Spain, the complex facilities include; outdoor swimming pool, sundeck, indoor heating (semi-Olympic) swimming pool, Jacuzzi, saunas, Turkish steam rooms, restaurants, bars, supermarket, cinema, tennis courts, full size fully equipped gym and Health & Beauty Spa offering a full range of therapies including massage, flotarium, beauty treatments, solarium etc. The resort also boasts a full medical centre on-site including 24-hr on-the-spot emergency assistance.

Bright and sunny, west to southwest facing with truly peaceful views of the sub-tropical gardens and Sierra de Mijas Mountains, in the sun from midday to sunset, the balcony runs the entire width of the apartment allowing plenty of space to relax and enjoy the year round warm climate with terrace furniture to seat 4. Perfect for a well deserved drink in the evening sunshine, after a day's sunbathing, golfing or exploring.

The state-of-the art kitchen is equipped with a full range of integrated AEG electrical appliances, granite worktops and large breakfast bar leading to the open plan lounge-dining area, which has sliding French doors through to the balcony.

The living room area boasts mountain views and is furnished to a high standard including indoor dining for 4 and the unique clic-clac sofa-bed a reclining convertible sofa bed which can be adjusted to various reclining seating positions or fully flat to comfortably accommodate 1-2 people sleeping.

The adjoining double bedroom has a king size double bed with divan storage, triple fitted sliding wardrobes and integrated chest of drawers. The bathroom is beautifully tiled and floored to the highest standard in travertine marble with a walk-in hydro massage shower.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
There is a lot to see and do. Just a short drive away, you can enjoy a vast range of attractions such as ; Selwo Marina and Dolphin Park, Tivoli World (www.tivoli.es), and Sea Life (www.sealife.es), all in the Benalmadena area, Lobo Wolf Park in Antequerra, not to mention the Treasure Caves at Rincon de la Victoria. FAMOUS LOCAL GOLF COURSES (5 - 15 MINS FROM RESORT)

Alhaurin Golf Club -

Alhaurin has an 18 hole par 72 course designed by Seve Ballesteros, a 9 hole par 3 course bordering a beautiful lake & an 18 hole junior course. Situated on the outskirts of Alhaurin el Grande, the course has majestic views of mountains to the north & Africa & the Med to the south. Facilities include driving range etc + riding & tennis.

The management have made significant investments in recent years to make the original 1993 Seve Ballesteros-design friendlier to all standards of golfer. The resort also has a terrific children's par 3 course adjacent to the new clubhouse. The main golf course is of international quality with many challenging holes set amongst natural terrain, which includes pine woods & many hazards.


Lauro Golf -

The Los Caracolillos course is the last designed by the Italian golf architect Folco Nardi. The clubhouse is a 200 year old Andalusian farm house & since opening in 1992 the course has hosted several major amateur tournaments.

Located 1000 feet above sea level and set in beautiful countryside, Lauro is an interesting golf course with nine lakes and lots of olive trees. Inland from Malaga and Mijas at Alhaurin de la Torre, Lauro golf course is relatively flat parkland-style course with great views over the valley & Malaga Bay.

Lauro has opened a spectacular third loop of nine holes which bring variety, height and depth to the complex, with all the holes named after famous bullfighters.


Guadalhorce Golf Club -

On the Eastern side of Malaga airport, Guadalhorce is worth the trip with a club house that is an 18th century Andalusian mansion which has been restored in grand style. It is a friendly, family orientated club with additional facilities such as pools, tennis & saunas.

The first nine are a bit hilly and fairly open with a distinctively English ‘parkland’ feel about it, with its slightly rolling terrain and tricky greens. The back nine, however, is flatter with more of an American style with lakes, tropical vegetation and raised greens. Many of the greens indeed are extremely large, and in some cases they are shared between two holes, the 6th and the 8th for example and also the 12th & 16th.


Real Club de Campo Malaga (Parador) -

Designed by Tom Simpson (who also designed Turnberry & Muirfield) this is one of the oldest clubs on the Costa having been built in 1925.

Just one kilometre from Malaga airport, this flat, links course has some holes directly on the seaside whilst others are set in avenues of Eucalyptus trees. Wide fairways are also lined with mature pines, olive & palm trees & colour is added with many oleander hibiscus bushes.

Host to several PGA tournaments, the course is quite a challenge with some long par 3s & 4s.



LOCAL TOWNS (5 MINS FROM RESORT)

Alhaurin de La Torre
A town typical of Málaga province in Andalucia in Southern Spain, it sits at the entrance to the Guadalhorce valley on the slopes of the Sierra de Mijas, 12 kilometres from Málaga city. The traditional and the modern live comfortably side by side in this town, with its old Moorish-style streets and houses in the Barrio Viejo (old quarter) and the modern stylish villas on the outskirts.

Alhaurin el Grande
Minutes further inland from Sol Andalusi, Alhaurin el Grande is one of the most picturesque villages in the Guadalhorce river valley. The coast is close by, with Fuengirola and Mijas just along a winding road round the mountain, and a new road has been built through to Marbella, to the south west. Rolling hills and wide open spaces give a feeling of space from all around the town.

Dear Jennifer,

The apartment and resort were in a very nice location. Given there were 4 of us, the decision to use the hotel transport to collect from Malaga airport was well worth doing at 45 euro's for return journey, which we ordered by e mailing their reception 24 hrs before leaving the Uk .The cab rank at the airport was heaving !!.

The apartment was clean, comfortable and welcoming, and the prices at the restaurant and bar were excellent (15 euros for a three course meal represents very good value)

I played lauro golf just up the road which I booked through the hotel and they also arranged transport, again very efficient, 26 euros for 18 holes of golf good value.

Hi Jennifer,

Just wanted to thank you for providing a full end to end service for the rental of your apartment. Both Rebecca and I had been looking forward to some piece and quiet in a lovely apartment and we found that at Sol Andalusi.

With the sun rising over the mountain in the morning we were able to have breakfast out on the balcony every morning before going down to the pool. The whole complex was excellent particularly the restaurant which served incredible dinners (we ate there twice over our 6 night stay).

I would have no problem recommending the apartment to family and friends as it was the perfect getaway from life in London.
